First post is now updated with the latest official speed cameras link
This link may be better - Mise à jour/upgrade des zones à risques Juillet 2023 PSA RT4, RT5, RT6, SMEG, SMEG+, SMEG6 – Le Blog de T.BOUZIGE (theobouzige.fr)

These are still July 2023 but look to be official PSA database rather than SCDB database updates which the GPS Power one looks to be (I found that via a SMEG+ telegram group)

The link you've posted when i used it tried to get me to install additional set-up files and tried to get me to allow notifications - I decided not to proceed with the download as looked a bit dubious

There's no link to the SCDB speed cameras in the first post. That's what official means. I have thought of putting a link up for the SCDB alternative but I thought it would confuse things and, anyway, I don't use them so have no experience to pass on.

Anyone know where the Traffic comes from on these units, I assume it piggy backs Classic FM or similar like the old TMC sat nav additions?

There is no traffic showing on mine now, but it has previously. Ive set a range of 12 miles and the line under the box is marked in the settings (assume this means On)

thanks

Liam
Yes I have the same issue on mine. Traffic messages just showa up as 'List Empty' ? is this to do wuth the map and speed camera update?

Nothing to with either of those as far as I know. It may be that your settings are not set low enough for warnings to be displayed. Equally, you may not be in an area where there's any coverage or, if there is, there might not be anything happening at that time.

My nav system used to display road works and traffic etc. is this a subscription feature as i have heard conflicting info. Also the pug connected services shop recognizes my car from vin number but tells me there are no services available for my car contrary to what manual says?

I'm kind of puzzled now.. There is a tab on the unit gui for connected services to set it up and reference to it in the handbook. However, I created an account entered vin but saying no services available.

So if that part is not applicable then, is the information and icons for roadworks and traffic info ive previously seen on the map screen finished? because thats the part i cant seem to restore.

All I can say is that connected services is for NAC systems. If you've managed to set yourself up for connected services then there's nothing available for you with a SMEG+ system.

As to the warnings available in SMEG+, I turned the sensitivity right down years ago as I found I was being swamped by warnings and they just got in the way.

Im not sure were on the right page here but, i couldn't set connected services up despite there being the option on the menu system. I have updated all the maps using this thread. I found the traffic feature useful as you could see any bottleneck or road works around the vehicle or on a planned route. from my understanding the system is a smeg+. The traffic system im having trouble with is not the announcements which interupt live radio but the live data that interfaces with the gps and gui.

The reason I mention it is Liam548 seems to have an similar issue.

Its the Traffic Message Channel which is broken - Im pretty sure the map updates have broken this functionality unless:

* Perhaps because the maps are not directly from Peugeot or because they have stopped this from their end due to the age of my vehicle (2015).,

Don't know how the tech works - So cant stay whether the unit does the work with the info received from radio stations or the data is sent direct from Peugeot.

Anyone able to confirm this?

Pretty knackered really because i cant roll back maps or firmware.

TMC (Traffic Message Channel) messages contain information on traffic and weather conditions, received in real time and transmitted to the driver in the form of audible announcements and symbols on the navigation map.

UPDATE:

After a little reading seems like it is a nationwide problem affecting various manufacturers and something to do with Trafficmaster stopping it's service.

A separate download is required. The latest maps for Australia that I'm aware of are here http://psa.download.navigation.com/automotive/PSA/RT6-SMEGx/M49RG20-Q0320-7111.ZIP

They seem to be dated third quarter 2020
"22/7/2020","WEST_AUSTRALIA"
"24/7/2020","EAST_AUSTRALIA"
I hope you're subscribed to this thread.

There's a new download available for Australia.

Please post in English.

Hi.
I can't download the java key from your link.
Can you send me that java installation file at:
xxx@gmail.com
Thank you

The link in the first post of this thread is working fine, I've just tried it again. Did you use a link from somewhere else?

What maps are you trying to update? The map update in the first post is Europe only.

The process is explained in the very first post of this thread, Have a good read of it and download the files that you are pointed to.

Also does the latest version of the maps that is posted in the first thread have the Australia map?
No. As the text in the first post says, the map and speed camera files are for Europe only. The latest Australia files are actually posted just four posts above this in post 2,856
