Tyre Pressure Monitoring System error

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice, has anyone suffered a tyre pressure monitoring system dashboard warning error, I have a 2014 508 SW Allure.
I get 3 loud bleeps every time the car is started and service light stays on, user manual states to take car to dealer.
System was working a while back, warning me of an under inflation error which was related to a fault on one tyre valve caused by the previous owner using one of those tyre weld kits for a puncture, I found this out when I got 3 tyres replaced. Car was then okay for a couple of weeks but then got the Tyre under inflation system not monitored error - 3 loud beeps on starting the engine and service light staying on. Thought it might have been a faulty TPMS valve on one of the wheels and asked the tyre fitters to check with their kit - they could only read one sensor... Its going into dealer tomorrow, I'm hoping their diagnostic machine can reset it, if not gonna ask them to disable it. Tyre pressures are all fine by the way, had them checked at the tyre fitters.
Really annoying!

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System error

Update.
So I took it into the dealer today, booked it in for half an hours labour for the diagnostic. They confirmed that it was the offside rear TPMS valve that was faulty and causing the error.
Asked them to turn the TPMS off (at a cost of another half hours labour charge).
Anyway, they told me that they had been unable to disable the TPMS but believed that they had been able to reprogram the faulty sensor but could not guarantee it would last.
Not happy paying nearly £100 for this but glad to be rid of the error message, however, within 3 miles of driving the fault error came on again!!!
Has since gone off again but I'm doubtful it will stay off.
Whats most annoying and frustrating is the dealer will charge £250 to replace the sensor whereas I know tyre fitter garages will fit a replacement clone sensor for £50 but I cant do this as it appears that only the Peugeot dealer diagnostic computer can read and reset the TPMS.
I have tried at 2 other non Peugeot garages but their diagnostic tools cannot read the TPMS but can read other systems on my 508 computer...

Again, you are another member that doesn't give a clue as to your location. You should try to contact a member who has Planet. They would be able to re-initialise the TPM system for a scooby snack after the tyre bay dudes have fixed it.

Apologies I am new to this forum and it is my first post ?. I’m in East Yorkshire.
I only went to the dealer as a last resort, had already been to 2 garages who had run their own diagnostic tools, these couldn’t detect the tpms, One of them is a friend who used to work at another Peugeot dealership and said that Peugeot planet was old and had been replaced with newer diag software for my car too. Probably not the best advice I’ve taken.
I have no intention of paying the £125 + £80 + vat at the dealers. I will go somewhere cheaper, although there is a slim chance the fault is fixed...
Thanks

I deleted the message as I didn't want to send you down a dark alley.
My thought was to replace the sensor regardless as it is faulty. You cannot reset a sensor if it cant be read by the relearn tool. TPS are a bit smoke and mirrors but it isn't unique to Pug - any decent garage should be about to change the sensor and get you going. I believe Pugs type are RF and not off the ABS so there is no wiring to worry about as such but I am not certain about this

Tpms

Hi again, its been a while since I first posted on this. I hate Peugeot TPMS, I bought the replacement sensor from eBay as suggested but I don't think its the right type for my car as it wouldn't program. Got a new tyre fitted today and the garage was able to read the 3 working sensors with their kit but couldn't get the eBay replacement to work - it also looked different, mine have rubber valve stems, not metal.
So can anyone advise on where to get the correct replacement TPMS valve without paying a fortune to Peugeot dealer? I don't have a clue, looking at the factory fitted one on the car I couldn't even see any code/part number written on it...
Cheers

TPMS issue solved?

Hi all, just thought Id post this update if anyone is interested or has the same issue in future. I appear to have had some luck at last.
Determined not to get ripped off by the dealer and after returning the 1st replacement sensor I bought on ebay, I bought another (correct) sensor type from a hong kong seller on ebay, only cost just over a tenner (I wasn't scrimping just couldn't find this particular sensor valve elsewhere.
I didn't expect much but had it fitted recently by a local friendly tyre fitting garage. They fit it for me and after driving a few miles all seems to be okay and the error has stopped happening. I'm wondering if the car's computer/head unit just detected the new sensor as it was the correct frequency? The car wasn't programmed by the tyre fitters.
Very happy that it seems to be fixed, no bleeping/error message for over a week :)

They're crap.

The stems deteriorate and snap off, and/or the nut falls off.
Same problem on Jags that use the same sensors.

Turn them off and fit regular rubber stems because they're more likely to hold the air in in the first place.

Disabled it on my 407 (2007) no problem, but on a friend's (2005 iirc) we had to disconnect and reconnect the battery before the car accepted the new settings. (I bet the dealer would never think to try this.)

If the car is 2012 or newer if TPMS was fitted it will now fail MOT if warning light does not come on and go off (similar to ABS light) as its a new testable item

The MOT system now also highlights to the tester if it was fitted so you cannot just switch it off

Tpms

Thanks for the replies.
The sensor valves on my car are the type with rubber stems, I’ve seen the other type which fit the previous 508 model. apart from this one they have worked well.
I know they can cause an MOT failure, that was another reason for getting it fixed, if it wasn’t by doing what I did, going to the dealer was my last resort. Saying that I had already taken it to the Peugeot dealer before and asked them to turn the TPMS off, they tried but couldn’t and still charged me for their time...
