Hi probably wrong place to be posted but I have a 2013 peugeot 508 and looking for a map update will this work for me too?

I own a Peugeot 308 1.6 BlueHDi (T9) with software version SMEG5.43.A.R2. dated 19-09-17
1)Any new firmware updates available?
2) does it have a gps installed, thats factory deactivated?
would it be possible to load satnav maps on to my car despite it not showing a navigation symbol on the bottom left side of the display?

If you have a head unit with satnav manufactured by Magneti Marelli (RT6, SMEG, SMEG+ or SMEG+ IV2) then yes.

That's the latest available.
If your car doesn't have satnav installed already then it's impractical to retrofit it.
boa noite sou novo aqui e estou insatisfeito com o gps do 308 sw 2015 queria atualizá-lo e não consigo uma atualização mas recente já que o meu 308 e importado alguém me pode ajudar fico agradecido

Where is it imported from? If it has European maps then I can't think of a problem (apart from the well known lack of space for all updates. If it's from somewhere else (Turkey? South America?) then I'm not sure but, unless it's from like Japan, I think it's still possible.

Any working links for the latest map update please?
Maybe its because we get the following messages:
Access to psa.download.navigation.com was denied
You don't have authorisation to view this page.

That's new!
Playing around I think I've found a workaround.
If you highlight the URL and then press the Enter button on the keyboard then you still get the error message but the ZIP starts to download. It was going to take 25 minutes so I cancelled the download but it appears to be the correct file by its size.
Note that clicking on the Reload button on the screen or pressing F5 do NOT prompt the download.
You can also right click on link and choose "open link in a new private window". It will start downloading...

I wonder if anyone can help.. So I D/L latest firmware and installed on my SMEG+ the firmware appears to follow the corretc procedure and install etc.. but the issue I have is once everthign is complete and it does Phase 6 (ZA Files) it reboots and if i leave in the USB drive it starts the whole intalling (validating files) process again or if I remove the USB stick at reboot it just hangs on the Lion image.. I cannt get back to my normal screen and obvs ive no control over anything... anyone have any advice?
Also if this is a bricked like issue, If i buy another SMEG unit will it need pairing to my VIN or anythign like that? or is it a straight swap?

Oh should add, I have attempted a hard resest with the battery and window open etc.. and I have tried to use a previous verision but I get the MEDIA.INF error if I do that.

I have successfully updated the map and the FW from SMEG5.2.C.R1 dated 08-01-15 in to SMEG_5.43.A.R2.
Some USB stick's didn't work, than tried with another one.
My car is Peugeot 508, 1.6 Blue-HDi EAT6, Production 2015.

Just to follow up on this.. I had to send it off for repair while I hadnt bricked it it took specialist tools to get it to boot again.. £220 for the privlidge
