Thanks, we did that and it actually "worked". He became the message "no update needed". I am really confused now... in his system the iMX version is: x0401074_200326_19.1E028.5. How do i find out, if the update 4_085_19.1E028.5 has anything to do with it? I mean yeah, the last digits are exactly the same but I can still not understand how this versions system works (sorry for my poor knwoledge but I am used to work with SMEGs and NACs).
That is the latest version. The last digits indicate that. Also 85C means the latest version. I had 84C prior updating.

You can't install the "C" version (or the "A" version for that matter). Those letters just identify the hardware you have.

If you originally had two different RCC Wave 2 systems, one with the "A" letter and another with the "C" letter, you can update both systems with the same firmware update, but you'll keep those letters through updates:

  • 071A -> 072A -> 073A -> ... -> 076A;
  • 071C -> 072C -> 073C -> ... -> 076C.
Edit:
It's exactly the same for the RCC Wave 3 systems, where the version have an "8" in the second digit: 08xA or 08xC in the example above.
Hi
In this way, can I activate the Park Assistant feature, which is closed in my country?

No, you can't install other firmware if it isn't for your system. And the Park Assist feature needs extra hardware.
Dear rui.saraiva ,
I have the same question with @xaerofarb , you say Park Assist needs extra hardware but our Rifter cars is actually GT-Line pack of these cars at the same time having extras of totally 12 parking sensors + visio park1 with 180 degree view + lane keeping + blind spot monitoring + adaptive cruise control with acc stop + Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS2) and so on .
someone in facebook group ( his nick name arrow wang ) makes park assist feature enabled with diagbox Lexia3 by connecting to car from obd socket . Our cars with less extras equipped in other countries all have the park assist both in mauel gearboxes or automatics . we saw and have the videos whose enabled the auto park function on their cars and working perfectly .
if there is a way to enable this function and you help as we will be so greatful .
thank you so much ..

Can anyone point me to what version of firmware I should download if I have this situation?

I tried to understand all of this but no luck and I'm quite terrified to do a mistake. Reason I would like to do a an update is because Carplay connection is really slow to start with, sometimes not even starting at all and I have to manually disconnect and insert the cable few times for Carplay to start.

I'm an older gentlemen so I would appreciate the help. Thanks!

How did you understand RCC version?
The RCC Wave 2 only uses the 072x-076x firmware version.
All the other RCC Wave levels (currently only Wave 3), the 063x or the 083x-085x versions.

You could also check the "V850 version", it's either W2.* or W3.*.

Hello everybody... I've just got my new 2008 yeaterday and i am located in Greece. I'm trying to figure out why i cannot connect my android phone either with android auto or mirrorlink.
My phone is Huawei p30pro and my car's system is rcc (no navigation)... As i figured out after a lot of reading.

I'm reading your posts and i believe that i can't make it work as my software is D.
Is it correct?

So can tou please help me to find out what's going on? Can i make a software update?
Will it help me?
Am i gonna be able to connect my phone with the car?

Up to now i cannot connect my car with the system either using a usb cable or bluetooth.
I can only make calls and nothing else.

No aa no mirrorlink. And in addition i cannot connect my car with the MyPeugeot app (to download my car's logs).
Thank you for your help

Isn't the D version the most advanced hardware version with DAB (digital radio)? At least on 3008.

It should support Android Auto as well. I've noticed that in my Wave2 C version RCC some USB cables just don't work. Have you tried with another cable? Is the Android Auto functionality in your phone working with some other car? Have you tried with another phone?

Actually i haven't tried any other phonw as we only habe huawei handsets and mine ia the moat advanced. I've tried 2 different cables one was the fast charging oficial Huawei cable... Bit I'm not sure if it is data cable too.
Regarding the android auto it works on my phote with a side app download...
At the moment I'm trying to figure out if it is my car's system problem or my phone's....
I was thinking that if i could find a software update might solve aome problems....
Don't know where to start from... [emoji848][emoji22]

The "C" and "D" versions have Android Auto/MirrorLink/CarPlay support.

- A USB cable is needed to use any of those technologies - and it should be a quality "data" cable. The infotainment system head unit doesn't have the hardware needed to use the wireless version, and this won't be "fixed" with a firmware update.

- Don't use MirrorLink, it's an obsolete technology that only had a handfull of smartphone manufacturers supporting it. And recent models from those manufacturers doesn't support it anyway...

- If you have a iPhone (since the 5 with iOS 7.1), use CarPlay.

- If you have a Android 10 phone, it just should work - the Android Auto support is already built in the system. For older Android versions (since 6.0), you need the Android Auto App, that might not be available in your country's Play Store, but it's available as a .apk file in https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-auto/

I've just double check all my cables and it worked...
I don't know if it was due to the app i installed or because the installed app by Huawei.
I've search over the internet and I've found an app called Android Auto for screens...
It work fine!!!!
Unfortunately android auto is not officially supported in Greece.....
Everything ok now...
BE CAREFUL...
Huawei Data cables are the one with the purple color at the inside side of the usb...
Thank you all

Evening all, this thread has been super informative. I finally understand why I don't have android Auto. My car is running the A version of the system.

I am just interested in adding Android Auto. Is there a way, legally, paying or not, or tinkering with the license keys, etc.. to upgrade from 076A to a C version that supports Android Auto?

Anyone knows of a way?

Thank you all!
L

Versions A and C or D have different hardware, so there's nothing you can do to have the Android Auto support. You really need other head unit.
