"I wouldn't buy that one. My guide says why."

I did read through it but still unsure why? Where do the PCB's fit in, are they in the connectors?
There is a lot of info about software but not a lot about cables, unless I am missing something?

Hi folks, as you know I manage the Peugeot Planet owners map. But we're always looking for more people to go on to cover areas with gaps, or areas where people have sold up and moved to another make.

I've written a guide to buying, installing and using the Planet software, and how to make a little money from it. You can download it here.

Any feedback or comments welcome. I plan to expand the operations section later, as well as an install guide for Diagbox.

UPDATE: DIAGBOX 7 INSTALL GUIDE HERE:

One thing which gets asked a lot is "where should I get the cable".

Please add me to the map, I live in central Reading, Berkshire (let's mark it down as RG1)

Yes you can do most telecoding the V7.58 version (also in the file link) has the most telecoding option but is more restricted to older versions
Thank you for the prompt feedback. which version do you recommend for a 2013 208. i have put a smeg_plus from the factory smeg. it came from a 2008, but now have features enabled that i cannot disable "offline". then also, which firmware should my lexia be?

It will not do that you need v9 and active PSA account as the head unit will need coded and configured to the new vehicle the configuration file is often model/trim specific and I don't think they are available elsewhere from PSA

Hi All, looking for some advice and help in getting setup with PP/DIAGBOX to help monitor and diagnose issues with my 308 GT (2016) & 3008 (2017), is the link in the original post the current best cable to purchase? I have both Mac & Win 7 Laptop so should be no issues in installing the software and other than the guides is there anything else I should know / be aware of.

Cheers

Ste

Hi

re the map, it’s showing someone close to me but no contact details? Am I doing something wrong?
Also, which reader is best for 2015 3008 1.6 diesel manual? Getting the EML coming on and fair few obd readers are showing no faults/codes.

thanks 👍

followed the instructions and downloaded Diagbox 7.58, however VMPlayer is complaining that "V.7.58.vmx was created by a VMWare product that is incompatible with this version of VMWare Player". I am using VMWare Player 12.5.9 as I am trying to run Duagbox on a pre 2011 Pentium T4500 which does not have VT-x support.
Any suggestions how I can get round that problem, please?

I’ve been reading this thread and I have to admit to being somewhat intimidated by the seeming complexity of the software installation. Also, all the posts talk about redundant operating systems, like Windows XP and Windows 7. What do I need to load onto my Acer Aspire 3 with a solid state hard drive and no CD/DVD slot, running Windows 11?

I bought a 207 a few months and wanted the ability to do diagnostics myself. I bought the full chip interface\cable.

I installed VMWare Player (free) on my W10 laptop. The seller provided access to download pre-built VMWare images that I "attached" to VMWare (dead easy) and off & running.

I started VMWare Player - selected the VM and clicked start. The VM starts and you are left with a PC* within a PC. This PC* is Windows XP. The Diagbox software is in that PC.

If you've ever used something like Teamviewer - it's very similar except the "other" PC isn't remote but on\in your laptop.

Hi guys, I'm looking to be pointed in the right direction.

I have PP running on an old laptop with Win XP, the version of PP is 7.02 I think,

Its never been an issue using it on my old cars, so have never bothered to upgrade it, because from memory, when I installed it 8ish years ago, it was a mission to do, I did try it on my Win 7 laptop but was unsuccessful, so just ran with it on the XP laptop, and have never looked back really.

My uncle has a 2016 208 GTI with an engine management light on, I've connected to it, but it wont communicate with the engine ECU, I'm guessing its because of my outdated software.

Would it be a case of just upgrading the software? would my XP be capable of handling the update to the latest version required to communicate with this vehicle?

If so, what version would be best, and is there a tutorial for that specific update?
