For a 2016 you would need Diagbox 9 instead of PP2000. Do you mean that you want to run Diagbox in a VM on a Linux host/hypervisor? Or run it in Linux with a Windows emulator? It's best to download a Diagbox 9 VM and use that instead as that already has everything installed and configured.

 

If you are using a recent OS, does not matter which, as long as it runs VMware Workstation. The VM is Windows XP OS and has PP2000 and Diagbox in it. As mentioned above you will be using Diagbox with your Lexia device not PP2000.

Full Lexia is 12pcs JAPAN NEC Relays+ 7pcs OPTOCOUPLERS. I have the green one on that page (not that it matters), but they all appear to be full Lexia. There is one with fewer relays and optocouplers which is cheaper and to be avoided because it can't run all testing.

It's good they offer to just send V9.125/V9.96/9.91/7.83 by software link and not by CD.

Nothing, Ian (another member on here) pointed out that depending on where the OBD2 connector is with the green one, you could knock it and someone had with there knee, no less.
They are the same units really, the green has simpler connections less to lose (easy to replace cables), and the other you had, is what Peugeot use and has more backwards compatibility.

In regard to version of diagbox, don't worry about it too much, you can get hold of newer and older versions of the VM. It matters to telecoding mainly, but typically use whatever the latest is.

Ended up getting a 2016 2.0 e-HDI. Got some spurious errors, which I intend on changing the battery as I read a 'poor' battery may be a contributor. Tested battery with KINGBOLE BM550 Car Battery Tester 24V 12V 6V 100-2000 CCA 2-220Ah Battery System Detect Auto Battery Analyzer Car Battery Tool (AliExpress via Poland) which gave consistent results when testing 3 other batteries.
