I'm a complete novice with my Peugeot 308, as it's the first one I've ever owned. Am I right in thinking it has the start/stop feature incorporated into the engine? When I drove it back from the car dealers, I was sat in traffic and thought the engine had died or stalled as I couldn't hear it.

If you have the start stop, there will be a button to disable it. You should be able to tell if the engine is running from the tachometer / rev counter?
This car is extremely quite compared to other cars I have driven, it could just be that.
