Not having much luck with whether this can be retrofitted to Vauxhall Grandland X. Vauxhall are not sure if this will work. Any ideas?

Ok, got my car coded by a friendly dealer today. The camera works, so indeed, the splicing of the wire in the rear near the parking assistance ECU worked just fine. However, it points far too low - I can only see like 50 cm asphalt in the picture. They suspected that the camera mount I have is not the right one. Investigation continues.

Oh, and a cool thing is that now in the ServiceBox it shows that my car has VP1, so presumably the camera coding will not disappear in case of system upgrades etc.

Thats great news! (y)

Regarding the mount, that doesnt sound good. Please keep updating the status regarding this if you find out the reason.

Apologies, have had little time and interest in this topic lately. However, yesterday I drove the car to a parking lot of the nearby mall, connected Diagbox into the car and executed the calibration of the 180 degree parking aid according to the PDF instruction.

The camera works beautifully now, so it was just lacking the calibration.

I think I found an easier way to splice that wire than doing it near the 16V N connector in front.

According to the schematics of my car, the pin 10 of the 16V NR (black) connector in front of the car (BSI1) is connected to the pin 10 of the 18V VE (green) connector of the parking assistance ECU (7500).

This ECU is easily accessible in the rear of the car:

As the camera wiring goes past that ECU anyhow, it should be much easier to splice the wire there vs. the cramped space in the front. I'll certainly give it a try. I think the instruction is generic and that's why they tell you to splice the wire in the front as not all cars have the parking assistance ECU (I think most of them should though!).

Also, looking at the schematics of a car that does have a rear camera, we can see that the wire ZE05B is split to the reversing camera (7533). Only to sort of confirm that it's indeed that wire that should be spliced...

do you remember the color of the thread?

I have a 2017 peugeot 508 allure SW diesel 180hp with am6 transmission.

I also checked on servicebox as the original poster did whith his car, and it lists the same part numbers for the wiring looms with and without reversing camera. I bought second hand camera cheap from another 2017 SW but cannot find a plug to plug it in to in my car. Counted the number of wires going to the tailgate (there are two main plugs) and there does not seem to be any unused wires really. So I guess this is not a simple plug and play retrofit-install but will need full (re)wiring. I also installed a chinese android interface recently and it works pretty well (have a samsung s22). I am thinking it will be easier to install a reversing camera using that interface instead of the original Peugeot camera.

Also I have Servicebox on virtual machine until 2013 with wiring diagrams. I bought 1 hour full service online on servicebox but there are no wiring diagrams anymore???? wtf. Have you also experienced this? Without car-specific diagrams available I feel pretty terrified for the future......

The wiring diagrams posted by others in this thread where do you get them from? Please let me know.

Hello to everyone. I would like to ask if the 1647580180_3008_3008HY_5008_P84_P84HY_P87_Camera_Recul_Surmonte_DAG.pdf file is accurate and if someone else retrofitted visiopark 1 as well. I have a 2017 active 3008 but it seems that it has the harness without the proper cabling as I remove the trunk's plastic and nothing plugable was included.
I have provided and coded a 10" with NAC Wave 4 and they work Ok but I need to retrofit the camera in order to be 100% nice result. I bought a VisioPark 1 camera from ebay (in the screenshot) and my question is if I cable it my self can it work? I mean can I connect it pin to pin with the NAC? as the schematic seems not very clear to me. Pin 4 is Ground and Pin 1 is voltage. Pin 2 and 3 are connected to V16 and V17? The A3 Connector which supposed connects the camera is no described where is it ends in the nac or the BSI area. Any help would be valuable.

Today I have succesfully installed camera to 2008 active trim. But mine looks different than yours. In attach you see how mine looks. I also had a new nac coded so that the camera is activated. But as I installed it I see it needs to be calibrated. See the photo in attach. As I do not have diagbox I will try to go to dealer to get it done...

It is not hard to install it. I have spent less than 150 EUR in total. I bought the camera and mount bracket on ebay, the cables and the rest in car electric shop....

Hm...two days I had an parking assistance error notice and sensors and camera stopped working. It happened both times in the morning. I thought it was a bad cable joint. When I pluged the v16 harness off and reinstalled everything went back on again. I will see tommorow...I wonder if it is only the coding of NAC enough? Should I code the BSI also? And as I installed new iCockpit, new 10 inch screen will the Peugeot dealer be willing to work on such a large modification, because I asume it is the only adress to go? Any thoughts?
