I bought a second hand comm unit which had cruise control on it for my 2004SW. It didnt cure the fault and I could not enable cruise control even though I found it in planet and enabled it.
No great loss - I'd sooner remove my steering angle sensoe fault but thought I'd shove my result in here anyhow.

hi, i'm in the quest to retrofit the cruise onto a 406 MAY/2000 HDI 2.0 110 bhp BOSH EDC15

I bought the pieces on ebay, it was from a coupe ... but i can't get PP2000 to connect to the engine ECU , and so i can't enable the RVV or something you call it ..i have this configurations on BSI ( but i think i have to enable this particular function somehow called " function survitess " which in english is " overdrive " or " overspeed " , well i tryed to activate it, but all it did was a sound when a passed more then 120km/h , this function has to be enabled on BSI and on the Multi Function Display it apears in there too , but i have problems programming the display too, it Says " Programming defective " ..

somehow the PP2000 doesn't translate the stuff very well, but if you do some digging on google i found someone saying that in the older cars like the firsts pre-COM2000 307 and pre-COM2000 406 the fonction survitesse was for cruise, maybe i need to pair it with the MFD which i'm not being able to programme not even get into engine ECU.. pics :





I read somewhere that clone interfaces don't get along with some ECU's is this true ? Or is my mechanic software obsolete ? his PP2000 is 22.12

Tomorrow i'll try to update it to the 24.47 version, and see if it works .. if not i'll try the DiagBox ...

guys I got a local guy to come and turn on CC in the ECU and BSI the other day and then bought this stalk from ebay just plugged it went for a spin but nothing no cruising. Could it be that the stalk isn't right for my car?

Has anyone tried installing a cruise+limiter stalk but setting it as cruise only in PP?

Conversely, has anyone ever been inside a throttle pedal unit to see what the configuration of the limiter contact is? (could someone look up the wiring diagram for this perchance?)

Panic over quick (hour) session on PP and its working, I opted for type 2 configuration which gives me info on the dash about what speed the cruise is set to etc and a short press changes the speed my 1mph a longer press changes it by multiples of 5mph

For reference/ electrical diagnostics/ whatever. here's the pinout of the cruise+limit stalk. Pins 1-6 from the top down, all reference pin4.

1. set+ 25ohms
2. = 45ohms
3. set- 50ohms
4. common
5. cruise ON 0ohms
6. limiter ON 0ohms

could someone confirm that the cruise-only stalk is identical other than pin6, please?

Hi.I have a big problem i want to buy a cruise control stalk but i can't find the wires for second switch on the breake pedal.Can i user my cc stalk if i put it in the com2000 and then activate (BSI and Ecu)? or i need that switch?how about the wires for the second switch because i can't find them.

PS: my car: peugeot 406 2,0 HDi , 2002 !TKS

right, having a Planet newb issue. Attempting to add cruise to wifey's '06 307 HDI 90 (CAN) and whilst I can configure it in the engine ECU, the BSI is having none of it.

It's giving me a fault for no radio (aftermarket fitted); I'm guessing configuration changes are disabled because of the code?

so how do I set the radio to "not present", or am I barking up the wrong tree?

You can`t set as absent , i take it that fault was there before you started as you have a aftermarket radio , maybe you need the switch at the pedals , what does it do when you pick present in BSI and hit configure?

Can't get that far, Martin. Planet is 21.14 btw.

in config/ bsi/ config/ customer options/ misc

click on cruise, click f5 to configure and...

"no parameter to be configured"

am I in the wrong place?

Click on cruise , click OK then see what options before hitting configure.

Oh, if anyone was wondering, the cruise+limiter stalk will function as cruise-only with no faults if you put a small piece of tape over the bottom terminal of the connector.

I've got a 2003 307HDI 110 SE, I've noticed in pp somewhere in parameters, that you can test the brake switch and cruise switch, do you think that it'll have all the gubbins to enable me to fit cruise, and possibly the limiter?

I've been reading through these posts too as I'd like to add CC to a 2002 307 2.0 HDi, but I think the only way to really know if it will work or not is to hook it up to PP.

There seem to be quite a few people having some success with it although some require more work than others.

I'm now curious enough to go and buy PP and see what if it's possible on mine, if not then I'm sure I can find something else to tinker with :bash:

Thanks. I would if I could... The reason for my question is that I'm considering buying one but will only do so if I can fit cruise as I do a lot of long journeys. So the car is "virtual" and therefore no possibility to hook up PP.

If it isn't and I decide to go for a 1.6hdi instead, is there a rule, e.g. "all 307 1.6hdi's manufactured after <date> can have cruise retro-fitted"? Again, having read through I can't see anything being said as clearly as this but perhaps someone might know. I did ask at a stealers but they weren't interested in even thinking about it.
