Resetting the door sensors

Hello All!

My 508 has the dreaded, door sensor stops noticing that you are alive and refuses to open the door.. A quick trip to the dealer later and they reset something and it comes back to life for another 2 or 3 months..

My question is...

Does anyone know what they do to do this? Presumably something in Peugeot Planet but has anyone done it themselves and know what it involves?

If so pretty please tell so I can justify even more the cost of getting one for home

Many thanks

Vince.

I disconnect my battery for 8 hours (and charge it in the meantime) and it works after I reconnect battery. Have done this 3-4 times.

Thank you for this advice. I did the same (charge tha battery first and then disconnect and reconnect it) and now sensors on both front doors works again.

Is it possible that weak battery cause such problem. Now my car is 7 years old and still has first battery. In the past cold weather and rain caused front sensor occasionally not working, but in the last winter they stopped working at all.

But now they work. Obviously I'll have to buy new battery in the near future.:)

They do sometimes, damp/wet appears to be main issue. I wipe mine weekly and also spray a little silicone spray into the handle to door gap every so often to keep damp out and other than when they were covered in snow the other week they are now reliable
