RD4 radio button problems - factory reset?

Hi there.
I have just bought an '07 207s.
I'm trying to get to grips with the RD4 (Blaupunkt?) head unit but something seems wrong with it.

When trying to adjust any settings, the far right double right arrows '>>' don't seem to work. When trying to adjust, say, the balance, they simply return to the main radio screen. However (and here's the problem) whilst trying to work out what is going on, I pushed the left double arrows '<<' which do work so now the balance is now set to full left.
So now I can't set it back.

When playing a CD, the >> won't skip to the next track but the controls on the stalk work fine.
However, the << & >> on the stalk won't change the balance controls.

When in CD mode, the >> button does what I think the 'dark' button should do: changes the display from 2 line to 1 line to blank.

When in FM mode, the 'dark' button just makes the display 'glitch' then return to where it was.

There's some other odd behaviour too but I'm not sure I've explained the ones above too well so I won't go into any further details.

Any ideas what the problem might be?
Is there a factory reset at all, so I can at least restore sound to left & right?
Thanks very much in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Tried this but no luck. Tried it for 30 secs or so but still the same. Then actually took it out & removed the front to see if there was anything obvious (dust / debris) but nothing.
Put it back in & still the same.

The 'dark' button & >> button both switch the radio to the station in slot 4 (M4) although in CD mode the >> button operates the 3 'dark' modes. Very odd and still stuck on full left balance.

Is there a way to change the 'music note' settings with the column controls?
If there is, I can't work it out??

Thanks again

Been 19 months since I had a 307 with an RD4 unit so can't remember too much about it. It may be possible to set some things with Planet but that is a clutching at straws guess. You may be better off getting a used unit from ebay. Most sellers will program it to your supplied VIN before sending out so it would be simply plug n play/

Just bush random buttons

Dears

What work for me is just pushing random buttons in the same time pushing the audio controller in the steering wheel (the button that change the source+ volume up and down)

All of theme at the same time ( for example puhing the number 1-6 + menu + music icon + steering controller buttons) just try it

If every thing worm again ( don't use the steering controller ever)
