as i dont know what brake horsepower or anything yet.
dont want to buy the engine until i know what code it is.

Look at your vin digits 5-8 are the engine code there are many versions of DV6 engines some interchange some dont it will be 9HU 9HZ or similar search using this 3 digit code

The DV6DTED is different to yours

Engine code: DV6ATED4 (9HX) will this exchange for the 9HT ?? its the only one in my local scrap yard.
if not will look on ebay.

where can find out if an engine 9hx code is an straight swop /exchange for a 9ht code??

 

As long as they are both 16 valve you should be able to fit it but it wont fit straight in you will need to check turbos injectors flywheel etc there are so many variants of these engines but the core engine is the same.

 

Hi guys fitted another 9ht coded engine in the partner and it started first time. but now it wont start. no fuel at all.??
got the code P0193 fuel rail......etc
Would this stop the fuel and the electrics to the injectors as i cant get any reading on the meter when cranking over. and no fuel to the injector pipe when cracked open as if to bleed?
