Hello,
I've got a problem with my peugeot 406 2.0 HDI 66kW (2000).
When i press gas pedal to the floor, the engine cuts off a won't start for few minutes.
The car computer says: "ANTIPOLLUTION FAULT".
When I've plugged my car onto diagnostic, it shows fault code P0190 HIGH FUEL LEAK.
So I've searched on the internet and the most common issue with this fault code was bad fuel pressure sensor. So I've replaced it, but the engine cuts off in load again.
So the second common issue was DRV valve - high pressure regulator valve. Again - replaced, but with no change.. I've heard something about fuel filter.. Yeah I've changed it, it was quite dirty. But with no luck.
I have also noticed, that the fuel pump doesn't turn off, when I've got key in ignition. In all cars the fuel pump runs for few seconds, and when the pressure is reached, it turns off.
I think, that the fuel pump in my car never stopped, since I've bought it few years ago from first owner. Is it normal in this car?
Do you think, that is it a wrong fuel pump, or rellay? What else could cause P0190 fault code?
I would be very grateful, if someone will help me.
PS: excuse my english. I'm from Czech Republic.
