Ok, we are getting somewhere now. :D
Does the pump strictly need to be from a 2.0 180 hp model as mine, or can it be from 1.6 model? What i mean, does it have to be from the same model or is it enough that it is just from another bluehdi model?

According to service box, you can find any 308 T9 BlueHDI and take the tank.

But I would not give up trying with the dealer. Tell them you know TSB exists, try to contact general importer.

I found a damaged 508 2.0 150 hp so might give him a call.
All paper work is at the dealer and it will take a few days for them to reply. But after reading all this...i dont know, so i am working on plan b.

I never said 508, I said 308 T9. That's according to part numbers, tank is not the same in 508, but pump might be, but since there isn't only pump to buy, I can not tell for sure.

The pump I changed was complete with the circuit board in the unit.

Be careful when buying a spare off another type of car. I noticed there were a few components missing from some I looked at compared to mine. I had the same problem with a circuit board for a Golf which looked the same, had the same part numbers yet had different sockets so was useless!

The pump can be from any 2.0 blueHDI . The 150/180 hp is different in ECU map only (software). You can convert any 150hp peugout to 180 hp by installing a simple 3rd party chip.
The pump is the same. The tank is always 17 liters. The tank change shapes in 1.6L models but still 17L.
IMHO: any BlueHDI has the same pump module. This is not VW.

I would still be careful on any second hand parts. There can be differences which prevent them working properly. I fitted a complete second hand door to a 206 after an accident and the electric window operated in the opposite direction! Same model, same year same colour but obviously different wiring.

If you salvage a 2018+ pump you will need a software upgrade. So choose wisely. Tanks are different between models due to different chassis design. Different mounting points.

We've heard about this software upgrade with the supersession tank earlier in the thread. Do you know for sure if the pump is different or is it the associated control board? Possibly both of course in which case you couldn't just swap the pump.

I'm not even sure where the control board is. Is it a separate item or encased in the pump?

The pump tube is the same. The software change is for the circuit board which the pump plugged into.
There is also a software update for old boards which might save the pump from dying.

@save2
On page 7 you posted a photo of a pump unit removed from the tank.
Then after Jonsy posted a photo of the replacement pump unit he bought from a scrappy.

A couple of things I noticed were your photo shows the pump pcb with three electrolytic capacitors. The photo Jonsy posted only has two electrolytic capacitors. So is that the obvious difference between early and later pump/pcb units? Does the later unit have the three capacitors?

Also I noticed a potential unit failure in another pump unit photo the same as Jonsy's replacement unit. Take a close look at the smaller of the two capacitors. It appears on the top to be domed and also it shows signs of leaking. It is hard to be certain as it is a low res pic!

In the electronics world we often revive faulty equipment by simply swapping out the electrolytic caps in power supplies, TV's etc.

Sorry for the poor resolution but its not my photo.

Hmm, so maybe it's not the pump that burns out but the electrolytic caps that are being overheated. Anyone know if they're 105C items?

There were loads of fake caps around a few years ago. Maybe a few found their way into the chain? Not sure whether the years match up though.

Do not look like 105 caps as they are normally red. I would replace with 105s and go for higher voltage if they will fit to protect from spikes which maybe making cap break down

I would be surprised if they are not 105c caps as the pump is in an enclosed space with no direct airflow.
Under certain conditions ie. hot weather, driving style etc. in that enclosed space the temperature can rise considerably.

Adblue tank replacement

Hi guys

This thread has been extremely informative and i have now sourced a replacement tank for ÂŁ150, but is the for the newer part number ending 380. Could anyone xplain how i get the it programmed after fitting?
