I equipped my Peugeot 207 with a genuine alarm, modified the parameters in the BSI and everything works fine, it is recognized by any OBD tool and I can trigger the siren with the computer, also the button flashes correctly.
Unfortunately I didn't have a key fob, I only have a normal key without the buttons so I lock/unlock my car manually each time. Today I went to a dealer to get a genuine new key with two buttons, not only for security reasons in case I lose my key but to activate the alarm too, because according to the manual, I can only arm the car using the key fob.
So after getting my new key it seems like the alarm isn't working at all, I mean it should at least do a bip sound when I lock/unlock my car wirelessly but it doesn't, using diagbox I can see a lot of parameters in the alarm system, such as Thatcham mode and other country restriction things I believe, but I dont know which configuration to use, my country doesn't really have any rules about alarms but I just want it to work that's all.
