Got an "anti pollution warning" on my dash and the obligatory engine management light on, my ODBII reader says P0204 "injection circuit / open cylinder 4.
This has happened 3 times in 2 days and appears after about 2 miles with a stuttering then ok then stutters but ticks over OK - will be checking wiring conections when I get home this afternoon as head has been off recently but one injector didn't look overly brilliant!
Searched through some old threads and appears to be a faulty injector.
My question is which is cylinder 4, from g/box end 1,3,4,2 (as per firing order) ie
Cambelt end - cylinder 2, cylinder 4, cylinder 3, cylinder 1.

or is it, as standing in front of engine the last one at the g/box end ie
Cambelt end 1, 2, 3, 4.(cylinder bore No's)
Think it's the first option but not 100% certain
Thanks in advance

Looked at the wiring and all seems OK
Removed all injectors and solenoids are clicking when powered up.
Got one new injector coming Friday/Saturday and will put it all back together and try again.
When I came home on Wednesday same thing happened as in original post but cleared fault and drove OK for a short time then I got same faults coming up then additionally "depollution fault & catalytic converter fault" !!
Don't we just love Peugeots :)
If this don't cure it then I'll have to get it plugged into PP

Jagn's quote - think the gearbox end is no1 cylinder so that will be Injector nearest the cambelt

Got a new code reader today the other one broke and as per above yes you were correct :thumb: as your quote. No 1 cylinder is at the gearbox end and No 4 at cambelt end and nothing to do with the firing order !
Thanks for the advice
Injector replaced just need to give it a good run down the motorway

No the no 1 is from the gear box end
I am glad this subject was raised, I assumed cyl #1 was at the cambelt end.
No 1 is from the gearbox end. 4321

I started working on Peugeot engines in the 60’s.
Peugeot have always had number one cylinder flywheel/gearbox end, no matter how many cylinders, fw drive or rw drive. Very simple to understand.🙄🤔
So a Puretech looking at the engine with wet belt left, battery and gearbox right.
Number one cylinder right, number three left, wet belt end.🤗 number two in the middle.

'Simple to understand' if you know!
