F000 Engine fuse box fault ECU not communicating on the CAN

Right, Ive finally got my planet setup sorted on a bargain £20 laptop so I thought I'll nip out in the rain and hook it up to see whats what.

Anyway - wasn't expecting any codes as everything has behaving nicely.

A few non-permenant ones were cleared, a couple do with coherence with the radio etc and the expected airflow fault due to the EGR being blocked.............but the unexpected was the above F000 which is logged as a permanent fault.

Before I strip down the engine bay fuse box can can anyone shed any more information on this code?

Small update.

Not really 100% sure which two twisted wires you were on about but I've checked all over for signs of water damage and its bone dry. I've cleaned all fuses/connectors/main earth with contact cleaner and its still throws up the fault.

Also under same fault code but under engine ecu it shows an error of 'Fault engine wiring housing: Ecu mute on the can'

I noticed on another forum it suggests this can also be down to the software version of the lexia unit?? Anyone know any more?
I was sold the unit as being 'latest' and suitable for the 307/c5 etc
Diagbox reports it as v4.3.0

A bit more reading around.......

Could it be that my interface is revision B rather than C? Not sure how I can find out but I know revision C is required for full canbus support.

Update Your Lexia-PSA Interface To /C Via USB
Seems to suggest it may be possible to upgrade firmware however as the forum is not allowing new registrants I cannot contact the guy for the files/info.
