Hi,
I’ve had my e2008 GT for 2 months now and have covered just under 1,200 miles, but an ‘Electric Traction System Fault’ warning/error message has started to be displayed when I start the car.
It won’t let you put the car into gear to drive it and then it won’t let you turn the car off for a while; once it does turn off there is a warning alarm that plays, as well as the error message still displaying. This has now happened to me 2 days in a row, so I haven’t been able to use the car.

I’ve read about this (or similar) occurring on the e208 but has anyone else had this issue with their e2008? (I know that they are basically the same car, but I wanted to raise the issue on this message board for the e2008). I’ve included links below to the relevant e208 threads, where some people have also described a loss of power while driving:

It looks like there is temporary fix, which will allow the car to start and be driven if you leave it for at least 15 minutes after first trying to start it, which worked for me when I tried it once:
