It's not part of the motor it is at the back of the heater box on the left side. It can be removed after taking out two screws it a bit of a tight squeeze. When was pollen filter last changed as if it's blocked it makes fan run harder to suck in air which burns out speed controller

I changed the pollen filter a week ago. Am I right in saying that the glove box needs to come off to gain access to it?

 

It can be done with glove box in place as it's low down by carpet but more room if you remove

that was a pig to remove! many thanks for your help. I've ordered a new resistor, fingers crossed it solves the problem!

 

New resistor fitted and all working again! ?
