Crank Position Sensor Removal

Gidday all,

I've got a 207 HDi 16 (9HZ) 5MT with the fault code P0335. I'm just trying to remove the old sensor but it seems to not want to come out without removing the crank pulley.

The question is: Is there a way to do this without removing it or is it required to get the thing out?

Cheers in advance

Edit: How do you also get this bloody belt off anyway, mine doesn't seem to have an automatic tensioner, it has one that sits under the alternator, it's needs to come off for a new belt anyway (second photo is looking up from the crank pulley, yes ik it's leaking oil from the valve cover)

The attachments don't work atm,
Use this for OEM parts no, Peugeot Parts

If any of that oil is on the cam belt, then you are at risk of it breaking, regardless of when it was last changed. It can also cause problems with the sensor you are trying to repair/replace.

It takes a bit of wriggling however it should come out. I have changed a few 1.6 HDI ones when the connector has corroded without taking off the pulley
