Greetings to all you helpful forum people.
I've been having an annoying issue with my 2002 Peugeot 206 2.0 CC (EW10J4 Engine RFN) all of a sudden and was hoping someone could help or point me in the right direction.
I've been getting an Anti-Pollution Fault appearing and the MIL is lit pretty much constantly.
After clearing the fault, I can usually drive for around 10 mins (have seen it as soon as 1 minute) before the dreaded Anti-Pollution Fault re-appears .
When reading the faults with Peugeot Planet, I get the following:
Fault Code P0325 - Engine ECU - Permanent Fault. Knock Sensor
(Engine Speed 1887 rpm, Coolant Temperature 70C, Vehicle Speed 28 kph, Manifold Pressure 830mb, Mixture Status - Open 3)
Fault Code P0268 - Engine ECU - Permanent Fault. Injector Control3 Short Circuit to positive
(Engine Speed 1718 rpm, Coolant Temperature 64C, Vehicle Speed 48 kph, Manifold Pressure 330mb, Mixture Status - Closed 1)
Fault Code P0215 - Engine ECU - Intermittent Fault. Supply Relay Control
(Engine Speed 2432 rpm, Coolant Temperature 56C, Vehicle Speed 52 kph, Manifold Pressure 570mb, Mixture Status - Closed 1)
Fault Code P0325 - Engine ECU - Intermittent Fault. Knock Sensor
(Engine Speed 2454 rpm, Coolant Temperature 56C, Vehicle Speed 52 kph, Manifold Pressure 570mb, Mixture Status - Closed 1)
Fault Code P0606 - Engine ECU - Intermittent Fault. Control Unit
(Engine Speed 724 rpm, Coolant Temperature 77C, Vehicle Speed 0 kph, Manifold Pressure 430mb, Mixture Status - Open 3)
Fault Code P0481 - Engine ECU - Intermittent Fault. Fan unit relay control (fan 2) low speed
(Engine Speed 2468 rpm, Coolant Temperature 55C, Vehicle Speed 0 kph, Manifold Pressure 570mb, Mixture Status - Closed 1)
Its usually all the same faults and normally there is a Injector Control4 Open Circuit thrown in as well.
There is absolutely no difference to the running of the engine when these faults appear as to when I have cleared them. The car is running perfectly well with no misfires or issues I am aware of.
Only a very annoying fault appearing!
I have ran the car parked after clearing the fault and been unable to get the fault to appear until taking it for a drive.
I've replaced the injectors 3 & 4 and knock sensor but these faults still appear and I've also run the car after clearing the faults and pulled on every bit of wiring harness I can find. No faults appear until I take it for a drive.
Any ideas on what could be causing all of these faults? Anyone seen similar issues before or have any suggestions?
I've got an MOT due soon and although I don't think it will fail emissions (as the car runs fine), I'm not sure if MIL lit is an automatic failure these days.
Hope you can help and thanks for taking the time to read my long post!
