Hi All,
I have a 307 1.6HDI with around 170,000 miles, recently I began smelling fumes in the cabin and seeing an oil-like liquid around the injectors (assuming this is dirty diesel and carbon) searching on the forums quickly identified it as injector seals.
I purchased a set of injector seals, pulled out each injector, cleaned them, placed the new copper seal, clear plastic part on the middle and black rubber seal on the top and replaced all the injectors, I torqued down to 5Nm + 65degrees as I'd seen on the forum, however after giving the car a quick blast up and down the local dual carriageway I found the liquid has returned to around the injectors, not as severe, pooling mainly by the two end injectors.
Is it likely I have just done something wrong when replacing the seals and starting from scratch is the best option, or is it possible to be something else?
