Hello all.
Last week my sons 206 cut out whilst he was driving it and wont restart.

Its a 2007 ,1.4 petrol with a kfw engine i believe.
I have had a diagnostic which gave fault codes
P0638
P2176
P0123
P1438
P0122
P2122
Which all point to a failed throttle position sensor so im told.
This is a drive by wire system and when i operate the pedal i can see the valve on the throttle body open and close like normal.
I just cant seem to find the TPS on the throttle body anywhere ,unless its incorparated into the throttle body itself, behind the black cap that covers the magnetic actuator?

Ive spent all weekend trying to locate it.
Does anybody know where it is located or if this model even has a TPS?
The fuel pump is running when i crank the car over but it just wont start.

Thanks
Wayne

Ive pulled the cambelt cover back and it seems to be ok, had rocker cover off too and the camshaft rotates.
I changed the crankshaft sensor a few weeks ago and getting movement on the rev counter, been searching the forum, done the beep test. Thats ok..
The only thing showing on the diagnostic is the TPS which i cant locate.
Thanks for the reply.

Position sensor is inside the throttle body as its name suggests it senses the position and sends it back to the ecu BUT in your case i would be looking closely at wiring and check ALL fuses as i recon the engine would still start if the throttle was faulty just not rev also you cannot be sure the belt has not jumped teeth just by looking at it you need to check the timing is still correct.

Guys just 1 more stab in the dark before this goes to the great scrap yard in the sky.

Could the coil pack failed?
Is there a chance it could of just completely given up?
Im not clued up enough to know wether it would just pack up all of a sudden or how to test it.

Cheers
