Anyone else noticed that the windscreen is not de-misting properly?
Ever since I got the car 3mths ago it doesn’t work properly. I have it on auto and even when switching it to manual and just at the screen it’s the same. Internal air is off and this happens between 18-22C

Never had this in a car unless it’s winter.

Any ideas?

Your windshield will generally fog up if the air is humid and warmer than the windscreen. As the warm air flows past the cool windscreen glass, the water vapour in the air condenses onto the cooler surface and you end up with a foggy windscreen.

To get rid of the fog, you can either dry out the air or heat up the windscreen.

It was 20C today and the sun hitting the windscreen for hours and as soon as I sat in the car I could see it.
Are you sure it's a mist not dust? Yesterday I was driving west in the evening with low sun shining directly into my eyes (arrrrgh!) and the windhield seemed to be misty, however I found out it was a thin layer dust, not noticeable in normal conditions.

No, that's quite the wrong thing to do. Recycled air will have increasing levels of water vapour, from exhalation and perspiration. Use of air conditioning will
dry the air as well as cooling it, and should clear the misting. If the air is then so cold that the outside of the glass starts to show condensation, the answer is to add heat with the controls. Adding heat to dry air will actually assist the process, as warm air will evaporate the condensation more readily than cold air.

It helps if the surface of the glass is perfectly clean. Deposits of dust and grease (which may be difficult or impossible to see) will promote condensation.
