Hello everyone,

I am looking for a better smartphone holder. I have a Galaxy Note 8 which weights around 200 grams with the protection case. I used the genuine Samsung vacuum holder for the windscreen and an air vent holder. The vacuum holder was falling from time-to-time, during driving and the air vent holder put a lot of load on the air vent blades and also blocked the cold air coming out. The only good thing with the air vent holder was that the phone was well cooled during summer time (which we have almost 9 months here).
So, I am looking for a better solution for the smartphone holder. For the meantime, I am just leaving my phone on the wireless charging surface, connected through a usb cable to the car's usb port, in order to be able to use Android Auto.
What do you use for your smartphones? Links or pics would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I agree with your later posts that the layout of the dashboard is not conducive for manufacturers to find a location for a specifically designed cradle mount.

Here is a post I made earlier about the Brodit Proclip and Fix2Car cradle: https://www.peugeotforums.com/forums/2114321-post11.html

As you say, the position is far from ideal. Originally when I was investigating the Brodit range and before the 3008 was available in the UK, the images showed the Proclip fitted on the passenger side of the central console which in my mind would have been better. If I were to go back in time I would have chosen the 'A' pillar version, even though that meant having a longer cable.

A smartphone is constantly needed by a person, even at the wheel, but not all cars have a special mount for it. If it is not secured, it will slide off while driving or when stopping abruptly, which can also lead to an accident. To ensure that your smartphone, tablet or navigator is always safe and at hand, you can attach it to a special holder in the car. it will fix the gadget so that even bumps and sharp turns will not move it from its place. Thanks to the convenient position of the holder, the smartphone will always be in front of your eyes. you can use it as a navigator or talk on the phone without the risk of getting a fine. I have studied a lot of information regarding the usefulness of this device, but I could not find anything useful about the reviews. My friend advised me to search for reviews of gadget in India and it really helped me choose the best gadget to use.

I just stick the phone in the centre armrest when I'm using CarPlay. Don't need to see the phone or use it.
Now I agree with you because I'm using Android Auto all the time, so I don't need to see or touch the phone. Problem solved!

Active people who need to be always in touch just need a car phone holder. It is easily fixed on the panel, allowing you to use the device as a navigator, player or just communicate with other people.A universal and reliable model can not be cheap, so when choosing, you do not need to be guided by availability, but carefully consider the mount according to several criteria, focusing on your needs and the model of the gadget. I decided to buy a phone holder in a new car and was quite puzzled. There are incredibly many models and it is difficult To Choose What Will Suit better. In search of information I decided to check gadgetguide.in and I did not regret my decision to trust their reviews and they really helped me choose the best gadget for myself.

holy hell 2 yr old post resurface lol

Personally I always use a flagship phone so they always have wireless charging and so just launch them on to the charging plate after I start up amazon music from there alexa handles everything I could ever need from the phone while driving
