I have an ongoing "economy mode" problem (perminently on)
several returns to Peugeot hasnt cured it
I read about BSI reset and Im wondering whether this is the cure
Only thing I cant seem to find out is what BSI actually controls

Built in Systems Interface - it doesn't control anything - it's the name of the system you see and use when you plug in Peugeot Planet 2000 - it lets you access the car ECU's.

The ECU's (Electronic Control Units) are the things that control the various bits of the car.

In terms of economy mode - I'm fairly sure that this can be adjusted via PP2000 - that is you can switch it off. I can't say for sure where the on/off switch is within the PP2000 menus, as I can across it the other day when I was messing about.

Perhaps someone else here will know.

Resetting the BSI means disconnecting and reconnecting the battery - in an attempt to reset some settings to default - if you do this be careful and follow the correct procedure - which is bound to be on here if you search.
