Glad to help where I can @wfafl

OK! And? Any clue about the reason of the error?
Thank you.

I wish it does. As you can read above I tried all that and same error.
I think that the Internet connection is because of the licenses, TomTom.
Thank you.
As I wrote before the car is new (2 weeks), a Peugeot 5008 GT Line. I was surprised when I found that the firmware and the maps needed an update, it is a NEW car. I found "Peugeot Update", I downloaded it, installed it and I run it. It downloaded the firmware and the maps, I used a 64GB USB pen that I already had and that was formatted by "Peugeot Update" before it copied the software to it. Always following the instructions and, as I wrote before, the result was: "Version not compatible with hardware". Really? After doing all that "Peugeot Update" asked? Several times!
After a few days reading forums, doing experiences using a new 32GB USB pen, nothing. Today I decided to try again but I did the copy of the key file, that I got from the Internet (https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/mjf00-web/rest/LicenseDownload?mediaVersion=...) with the same file name/number the one from "Peugeot Update" has, to the main directory of the USB pen (before it was inside another directory), I took the USB pen to the car, and ... it worked!

To Peugeot:
Really Peugeot? Several days/lots of hours, another new USB pen (32GB), and all of this because "Peugeot Update" does not do well what it should do? And, from what I read around these forums, there are lots of people with software update problems. For a normal Peugeot's buyer with no knowledge of computers, it should be easy to do the software update, something like: Download and install "Peugeot update", run it, insert the car's VIN, wait until the data is downloaded (a few GBytes), connect the USB pen to the PC, wait until it is formatted and the data is copied to the pen, took the USB pen to the car, turn on the ignition, put the USB pen in the central USB connector of the car and ... around one hour later job done! But it wasn't like this! It was an unpleasant experience of trial and error!
I like the car. I only hope that the rest of it gives me fewer problems than "Peugeot Update"! And, by the way, that Peugeot fixes "Peugeot Update".

I have worked as a programmer for nearly 40 years and I am appalled that Peugeot haven’t fixed this bug. The fix is totally trivial. Just make the software copy the license file into the root of the usb drive and problem fixed.

I love my Peugeot 508 and just cannot believe how Peugeot could be this lazy. Anyway, as said above, the fix is dead simple so someone fix the code!

I've downloaded two updates in the past 3 months both successfully, the first time maps and touchscreen, the next just maps. I used the Update Application on both occasions and used a 64gb USB drive with no warnings.

There's a problem with the digital certificates included in the firmware update (for NAC Wave 1, 2 and 3) and no one can install it at this moment. For the last firmware update of NAC Wave 1, the certificate expired 2 years ago and PSA didn't bothered to fix it. I'm afraid that those systems are now obsolete for them...

Map updates work fine. But firmware-wise, if your system is working, you're safer not attempting to update it. You'll see no difference if it works, and you'll have an unrecoverable hardware issue if it doesn't.

Hello and thank you for you reply
The van has apple carplay and mirrorlink. The problem is that my phone (S23+) can't connect to mirrorlink to it being discontinued. I have read other people had the same issue and fixed it by updating the infotainment.
According to the update tool from Citroen (and the citroen app) after checking my vin there is an update. I just cant update because of the incompatibility error...
Thanks for all you help

@cris.rada40 You have system/firmware version 7.1.3 installed and there is the 7.3.1-r1 for your NAC Wave 1 infotainment system. But that hardware doesn't support Android Auto, even with that latest version (released 5 years ago, BTW) installed. You can't install that version because the digital certificates included in the update are already expired (they're usually valid only for 2 years) and it isn't expected Continental or PSA/Stellantis will release any new firmware version for this hardware. Even NAC Wave 3 or Wave 4 hardware revisions might not have any new firmware updates...
Recent models have a new IVI infotainment system, so NAC/RCC units are pretty much obsolete.

Only NAC Wave 2 systems, with older 5.x.x.x firmware versions, could have Android Auto support enabled if they update to 21.x.x.x. But the hardware needed was already there.

@cris.rada40 : What are the latest 8 characters of your VIN?
I tried to update the 3008 (2017) because the display resets when I use bluetooth, the current version is 5.15.45.32-r0 and the map is 24.0.0-r0, I followed the instructions from the my peugeot app, made a usb, but I keep getting the same message, the version is not compatible with hardware. if you can help, my latest vin numbers are GS335086. thanks in advance
