Sat Nav Adding Stops

I have a 2023 308SW Allure Premium. I have found the sat-nav zoom function to be useless; I can zoom in and zoom out OK but as soon as I hit recenter it reverts to original zoom setting. Customer services tell me that's how it is intended to work.
Today I have tried to load a journey with a couple of stops but the "add stop" button is "greyed out" and doesn't work.
Can anyone help am I missing something obvious?
Looks to me like Tom-Tom have sold the Peugeot group a second, no third rate set up.

Hi @reneh46

Once you've entered your destination, under the greyed out 'add stop' are symbols for Parking, eating etc and a search button. To add a stop you press any of these and select your stop and it will add it to your route. Once you've added the stops you can then re-order the stops if you want under 'Edit Route'.

The greyed out 'add stop' seems to be just a label rather than a button, it's the icons immediately below it that allow you to enter stops. It's not exactly intuitive in my opinion.

Thanks a lot, as you say not immediately intuitive but obvious when someone tells you! I wish the manual was as helpful. When I tried it I was disappointed that favourite destinations wasn't an option but discovered that the search found them so all is well.
I don't suppose you have any work arounds for my other gripe; I would like to set the zoom level and have the sat-nav operate at that setting. I can zoom in or out but the map doesn't remain "centred". When I hit re-centre it reverts to whatever zoom the system deems appropriate.
Many thanks again.

I've found that if I zoom in it stays centred, I zoom in pretty much to the maximum, I prefer to see the buildings in 3D. When I get back into the car though it defaults back to the standard level of zoom. I rarely set routes though but I think once I've started on a journey, it stays centred when I zoom in. I'll check again tomorrow.

The only thing I normally change in Settings is for the map to always display in the direction of travel and I turn off night mode, I don't think I've changed anything else.

I don't seem to have the problem that you're experiencing @reneh46 with zoom/centring. Whatever level of zoom I have the map is always centred. If I move the map and then re-centre, it stays at the same zoom level that I had and remains centred.
