Peugeot 3008 P84: Fault with lane departure warning system

I have a 2019 build Peugeot 3008.

I've started to see a warning pop up occasionally: "Fault with lane departure warning system"
90511

I've checked a few things including:
  • Is there anything visible inside the camera through the windscreen? No
  • Is the windscreen clean? Yes
  • Is the battery full charged? Yes: every time I check it with a multimeter, it's at 12.7V but I did top it up with a CTEK charger with no improvement.

Some other facts I've observed:
  • When this error is present, the Auto high beam doesn't work (ie the second green "Auto" headlight logo disappears on screen). If the error is not present, auto high beam does work.
  • Whatever the case (error or no error present) the camera successfully reads speed limit signs so the camera is definitely working.
  • Even with no error, if you go to "driving mode" on screen, the green lines indicating the car has observed lanes (which works above 64km/h) never show up anymore.

I checked ServiceBox and there does seem to be a TSB to replace the camera, as long as there's a couple of error codes present. The TSB is C5DW013YQ0

I presume I'll be taking the car to the dealer, but was curious to see if anyone has seen this before?

This behavior i have observed when i disconnected steering wheel control unit as this puts on canbus direction indicator switch data.
The camera anyway is connected to car by means of two canbus lines (two separate busses). So that might be issue with steering wheel control unit under steering wheel.
Anyway, when that happen, try to use direction indicators, if they work.

Hi There,

I have experienced similar issues on driver assist system on my 2018 Peugeot 3008 and a lot worse than yours.
Please refer to the following link for my post with a short video clip. A near side rear parking sensor showed a fault and was replaced few months before this major breakdown.

There are multiple faults associated with Driver Assist System including the one you have got with Lane departure system. The Dealer found there are over 20 faults logged but ran diagnostic tests but all of them passed.

They liaised with PSA engineering team to analyse where went wrong. They have replaced a signal cable, the main fuse box, ECU control unit...None of them did solve the issue. Finally, the engineer decided to replace the whole set of wiring harnesses (three sets) and the car is running as it suppose to.

I hope yours can be fixed soon.
