Oil leak at oil filter housing

Hey,

I have had my car leaking oil for few days now just a little bit so I decided to jack the car up and see where it's coming from and I've located it to the filter housing (between the block and filter housing)

Just wanting to know, is there a gasket between the block and the filter housing or will I just get away with sealant ?

Try tightening the filter or put a new filter in as it only costs a few quid for one. The filter has a rubber gasket on it.

The seals do leak alright. There are two seals behind it. They are cheap. Its not too bad a job.

So your saying if I change the oil filter and seal it will stop it leaking at the block part. ?
