Hey everyone! I just bought a 308 2015, active 1200cc 130hp petrol
until now I was driving around with a DS3 2013 which takes 5W40 oil (under PSA B71 2290 certification)

I looked over the internet and I didn't found the certification code for my 308. Hope you guys will help me with that
I also need some recommendations for the right oils (I know TOTAL is recommended but in my country they just too hard to find and very expensive)

I got Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40 for the DS3 - will this be fine for the 308? (the oil stand with PSA B71 2290)

so long story short I just need:
1. the certification "code" of the oil type
2. recommendation for good oils (Motul / liqui moly are very common in my country)
3. to know if my current Motul 5W40 oil is good for the 308

thanks a lot

PSA B71 2312 is the oil spec.

2015 built 308 will likely suffer from the known rear axle problem plus the timing belt falling apart & clogging up the oil ways.

Inlet valves get coked up to.

Welcome to modern Peugeot ownership.

The oil for 1.2 Puretech 130 Vehicle is Total Quartz Ineo HTC 5W30.

The 2297 is for hotter climates.

"high-temperature and very-high-temperature countries, where temperatures can exceed 50°C. "
