Hi All, just had an Oil Change, Filter etc etc - 407 HDI 2.0

BUT the Check Engine Oil message keeps coming up on start up, But the Dipstick is showing full level

Where would I find the oil level sensor??

06 but its a Zenith so could be a few years older!

 

low oil level - got the same problem

I have a 54 reg 1.6 hdi SE, and have just had it serviced. My check engibne oil level warning has come on and the engine is full of oil.

Sounds like the same problem.

 

Could the light possibly be showing as there is too much oil put in by the person doing the service, maybe not allowing for it to run down to sump before taking their level.

If not then could be faulty oil sensor

 

Wouldn`t trust the sensor in a 307 can`t see the 407 being any different , use the dipstick every week or two ,only way.
