Installation complete!!! Thanks to pauls0701 & PaulMillard for their offer of help and assistance.

The problem was seemed to be the software used to unpack the .7z archives - winRAR doesn't work, ultraISO does.
Ah i see! I also install 7zip whenever I do a fresh install. (In fact I have slipstreamed it with my XP disk so its installed as standard).

7zip is free to download and install, and will handle those files fine. Its good to keep on a USB stick.

Ok chaps, here's what I'm faced with. After activating, I get the error message below (see photos).

- Installation on Windows XP Pro SP3 (on a virtual drive), Windows 7 and Windows 10 ALL have the same error (See photos).

- I've installed 2 different copies of the Diagbox software, and both copies have come up with the same error on all 3 OS, using 2 separate computers.

Is it possible that I have been immensely unfortunate and acquired 2 dud versions of Diagbox? One was a CD provided with the device, the other was a download from a link found on this forum.

As I see things, I've covered every base to try and eliminate the error (different OS, different computers, different copies of the software), so I must be doing something wrong?

Any thoughts?
Just Private Messaged you :thumb:

Just had to buy a new laptop as my old one snuffed it, so I'm having to reinstall PP and Diagbox.

The issue is I now have Windows 10, and after I activate Diagbox, the Lexia installation doesn't start quoting an error.

Does anyone else have any knowledge/experience of this type of error? Would windows 10 be causing a conflict with the older Lexia software?

I'm going to try a virtual drive with XP installed, hopefully this will give me more stable compatibility.

Is there a decent/trustworthy source of diagbox/Lexia software online?
Is you windows 10 install 64-bit? IF so, then you are unlikely to get Diagbox working on it.

If you right click on the 'start' button and select system. It will tell you whether you are running 64-bit or not.

If you are (most probably), then you will likely need to look at a virtual machine to run Diagbox on.
