Is the danger zone / speedcam tom tom upgrade worth it

Thinking about subscribing but it seems very pricey. If the icockpit and infotainment screen Nav wasnt so good together I'd probably just resort to using Androud Auto and Waze on just infotainment screen .

Anyone splashed out?

Yes Nick I thought like you its expensive but at ÂŁ115 compared to ÂŁ278 thought I'd get it. Very impressed with the speed cameras. Android auto and waze are ok but its hassle having the phone connected to the USB. In my opinion it's worth it

I upgraded to the 3 year speed camera package as it was on offer a few weeks ago plus it extends your Tom Tom live traffic subscription at the same time which is a bargain.

Ok cool, thanks each. Think I'll upgrade. Having the zoomed in view on icockpit and and zoomed out view on the infotainment screen is superb. Much better than android.

Mine also took a few weeks to process. When it did, Peugeot coded mine as a cash transaction because I was "paying a subscription and not purchasing something" so I ended up paying a cash withdrawal fee by by my credit card company. Not a fortune but it added about ÂŁ5 to my CC statement. I never withdraw cash with my credit card so it took me a while to trace it. Nice one, Peugeot. I suggest using your debit card to pay.

Odd - mine went through as a debit transaction & I used my credit card.

No extra charges have appeared on my statement.

Yeh done that originally and it has been shown as the same price. I'll give it a couple of weeks for the pricing algorithm to get desperate which is how I shop on Amazon.

I had the three year lease on my Motability car extend for a further year due to the current Covid 19 situation.

This meant extending 'Real Time Traffic' for another year which cost ÂŁ55.00.

Also as I had an appointment in Nottingham to have my existing Dashcam setup removed I decided to purchase
a years subscription to the 'Speedcam' service prior to my trip at a cost of ÂŁ69.00 for a year.

On Thursday 1st October as I travelled on the M56 then the M6 I was amazed at the number of times the speedcam warning triggered on the M6. As I left the motorway to travel across country to join the M1 for a short while and then onto my destination in Nottingham I also encountered various types of camera.

I have never had the 'Speedcam' service in the car before relying on the Dashcam system to 'regulate' any exuberant driving but would ensure that any future car I lease included a 'Speedcam' feature.

It is the best ÂŁ69.00 I have spent and what I like is that the 'Speedcam' functions even when the Navigation system is not being used, highly recommend.

My 3 year subscription expired in Jul, now back at work and needing to travel a bit. Reading the above comments if I just sign up for the speed camera alerts at ÂŁ69.00 will this also include a year of Real Time Tom Tom traffic too ?, or if I buy Real Time Traffic for ÂŁ109.00 will this include speed cameras ? or to get both is it going to be ÂŁ178.00. Some of the posts above indicate that you get two in one so to speak.

I couldn't wait for a price drop so signed up for the speedcam.
When I signed up it didnt seem to realise I already had traffic alert set up as part of the new car having 3 years free. So when I added the speedcam it said it was also adding traffic which was a dependency and this was zero cost.
Might be worth going through the ordering motions before putting your card details in to see what it does with cost etc when selecting speed cam only?

Ok, so I went to order the speed cam, and when I logged in it said my vehicle was not compatible (I assume as my Real Time has expired.
If I try to purchase Real Time for ÂŁ109 is says the below which I read as including speed cams (Danger Zone warnings) Does this include speed cams ?

Complete peace of mind

I renewed my Live Services and Speed Cams on 1st September. They payment of ÂŁ115 for the 3 years has just been requested from my bank. So as a lot of others have discovered PSA are a bit slow to take the money.
