Hesitation on Acceleration When Cold

Just wondering of anyone had experienced anything similar to me and if anyone has any suggestions..

I have a 207 1.4 16v and its recently developed a problem where when I start if from cold and start to accelerate away the engine hesitates for a couple of seconds and the revs drop right down before accelerating again. It does this pretty much every time I start it from cold and sometimes even stalls completely.

I've had a mechanic look at it and he has given the car a full service, cleaned the throttle body out and added an additive to the fuel; however this doesnt seem to have resolved the issue. He's also checked the ECU for any fault codes but there isnt anything showing up.

I've had a look this morning to check there arent any loose hoses and cables etc, but not being a mechanic, dont really know what I'm looking at.

If anyone has had a similar issue and managed to resolve it or if anyone has any ideas for me to try, I'd be really greatful to hear them!

Realised after a lot of searching that the car doesn't have a MAF sensor, but a MAP sensor. Just read the codes from the ECU and its showing P0107 and P0113. Found loads of places that say what it means but nothing on what steps to take to try and resolve it.

I'm guessing that it might be related to the MAP sensor though.

Haven't taken the car to a main dealer yet as I cant afford their prices, so just looking for some more ideas to try before I bite the bullet!

Sounds like the sensor has failed. But it is strange that the pressure sensor and the temp sensor have failed at once.
I have had one where the ecu was not earthing the signal wire coming from the sensor. Thus throwing up faults similiar to yours.
I'd get the wiring checked if i was you by someone who knows what they're doing.

Not yet Kruger, Iv'e booked it into a injection specialist for this friday, He's got one of the most advanced diagnostic machines available . I won't go to peugeot as iv'e heard too many people say they can't find the fault. He's going to test drive and plug in. I'l update you late friday or sat. Cheers

It appears to be a VERY common problem, everyone who owns this model seems to have be having this exact fault, yet Peugeot main dealers plug in and cannot find whats causing it. I have not heard one single person anywhere give a straight answer to the cause of this fault. The guy im taking it to is used by other large repair centres, when they can't resolve a fault he's the man they turn to. Its no disrespect to you, just don't want Pug Rochdale changing half my engine to fix my car.

Possible

Some, but not very many independent auto electricians DO have link up to Peugeot planet, I found one who could do it for me but I took it to pug as it was only ÂŁ35. I don't think you can download it as the procedure is to plug ur car into a laptop and diagnose your software issues, as this is been carried out it links to the pug servers in France and applies updates specific to your car. This is because as the parameters within your engine change do to wearing of components, software needs to be adjusted and each cars 'wearing' is unique partly do to different driving styles, so the updates are tailored to your car. Check your local ecu/electrical specialists or its a long round trip im afraid.
