Is stop/start working as normal and battery levels good?

If you put the rear demister on does it also do the same, or the passenger seat heater?

Sounds like the car might be doing this to preserve battery maybe

 

Passenger heater works fine - stays on.
rear window demistor works fine and stays on.
Start Stop works fine. Ill check the battery voltage on the weekend.

its only Driver side seat that does some sort of self regulation.
Does anyone have wiring diagram of that?

 

Just got the same issue on our 2015 308 sw. Driver seat heater stays on for maybe 30 secs then shuts off (the lighted control also goes black). Passenger side works fine as all other electrics.

Any clue what to look for? Fuse?

Check the plug under the seat...perhaps thats showing signs of heating due to resistance then loosing contact

 

Problem solved! Took the big yellow connector under the seat apart and sprayed the connection surfaces with deoxit/contact spray, worked it by connect/reconnect a couple of times and voilà: my behind is nice and warm again!

Hello, I have the same problem with my heat seating, turning off after exactly 20 sec. I found another connector that I cleaned with oxide cleaner, but I didn't know this connector from your picture what is for. Is it also for heating?

 

Update: fix was a bit shaky the first couple of days but now it's stable and the seat heat works as it should.
So there must have been something with the yellow connector.
Happy to have a nice and warm rear end again, and to save those horrendous money a workshop repair seems to claim.

Hi everyone, good morning,
I just joined that forum because of a problem in my 308 GT180 -65 plate.
just after warranty
I couldn't find a thread on the search to my problem, so I will open this one to heated seats.

My driver side seat heating is switching it self off after exactly 20 sec.
I will come back on after Start/Stop but again only for 20 sec. It seems like it is stopping it self to maybe protect overheating?? But in that weather it would be quite nice to have it on for longer :nod:
Any experience with that?
Do I need a new relay or is it sth more complicated? Due to the fact that it is coming back on every time I restart / start stop at a traffic light etc.
I wanted to check with you guys before I go an see the dealer.

First post here. I know this thread is old and it's a long shot but I think I have the same issue as you - clocked the sneaky light turning itself off and on again. (208 GTi Prestige) Pulled apart the thingy like you did and sprayed contact cleaner in, left seats on for about 5 mins and light didn't go off... yet... I'm just wondering though, if you have the part number for the switch itself? I can find older ones on eBay etc but I'm not sure these would fit my car!

Hello, I have same problem on my Citroen C4 PICASSO MK2. Exactly after 20 sec, goes off , and light turns off. Have you found a solution, Citroen Services says they have to change the whole system of mats underseat..very big work..I don't believe this is the real problem.

 

I think so. at least it helped fix my problem to clean it
