Head up display not popping up

Hi. Just returned from 10 days holiday, started the car (2014 reg 3008 Allure) and there was a loud noise coming from in front of me. Before I could find where it was coming from it stopped and I then realised the headup display hadn't popped up. It now doesn't even make a noise to try to pop up so just wondering if anyone knows what might have happened and how easy, or propably difficult, it is to remove to repair or replace. Before leaving the car for 10 days there has never been any problem with the display.

Panic over. Got in the car this morning, nothing happened with the HUD so pressed the dashboard switch for it and it smoothly popped up as it should. Been working fine ever since.
For anyone who want's to know, the answer to my original question seems that it's quite easy. YouTube has a video showing that the surround is lifted off with a trim removal tool which exposes 3 bolts. Undo those and I assume remove the electric plug and it's off.
