Entertainment screen restarts

I have a 2018 5008.

Over the last few months I have noticed the entertainment screen keeps restarting itself. Just cuts out, I get the Peugeot logo then after about 30 seconds or so it comes back to life....it can occur 2-3 times in the space of 10 minutes.
I actually did a factory reset which I thought may have cured it...but I was wrong!
It's due a service, so I will raise with Peugeot when it goes in but has anyone else experienced this issue?

Strangely enough, a call came through via my phone whilst I was driving today and the display is just stuck at the answer screen. When I turn the engine off I get the message that the system will go off when the call has ended! Very odd.

Enter your VIN at the bottom of the page on this website, as well as the map updates it will give you a download link to the firmware update

Excellent, thank you! I will give that a look (just need to dig out my VIN number)

Assuming the firmware upgrade process is relatively straight forward? I'm also assuming that if it goes tits up, Peugeot are likely to put two fingers up and give me a huge bill to sort it?!

Another forum member has once bricked the system during the firmware upgrade, but it was replaced by Peugeot under warranty. I assume that all of us would not be that lucky :)
If your car is under warranty Peugeot should also do the Firmware update for you, since you are having issues. Their rule is that they don't do Firmware updates for free unless something is broken.

Out of interest, the USB port you use is the one under the console (so where the wireless charging matt is)?? I inserted a USB stick with the relevant directories for the unpacked firmware and license but it said "no media content" so wondering if I should be looking for a service port.

Good news, firmware update successful and no signs of system rebooting itself. DAB radio seems to be OK now as well but think I need to "rescan" if that's possible as it's not seeing as many stations as last time.
Only downer is that the eur-map update fails. See the update from the stick, allows me to select and begin but then fails about 5 seconds after.

Had the same issue; software update went fine but map update did not work. Issue was resolved for me. Did you use a Apple Mac to copy the files over to the USB stick?

If so use the free 'CleanMydrive 2' utility as suggested in the instructions; this removes hidden 'junk' files from the USB drive that can hinder the map update. Worked perfectly after running the tool on the USB drive.

Just cuts out, I get the Peugeot logo then after about 30 seconds or so it comes back to life....it can occur 2-3 times in the space of 10 minutes. this only happens if the radio is tuned into any BBC channel , if i tune it into non BBC channel it works without shutting down and restarting.
