If you have heated mirrors and no separate button for the mirror heating then they are on when heat screen is active (its was a way to save a few cents or euro by removing the mirror heating switch)

Are you saying some peugeot 207s do not have a switch for the heated mirrors or rear screen then?

If so do they work of an outside temperature sensor then?

No they have a switch for heated rear window which switches on the rear screen and mirrors.

Some earlier Peugeots had a separate button on mirror controls to switch the mirror heating on independent of the heated rear screen and it got deleted on later models to save money

 

How early are we talking? My 106 GTi had a button for the rear screen that controlled the mirrors as well. Same as my 406, 307 and 308.

 

I think the last car I saw with a separate heater switch for the door mirrors was a mk3 Vauxhall Cavalier.

Heated mirrors are normally linked to the heated rear window switch.

 

I thought my old 807 had a separate switch, I maybe confused with an older car I did have a MK3 Cavalier as well so it may have been that.

I'm hoping it will work, I've noticed my rear screen clear on it's own a few times in the colder weather we have had recently so now its milder I'm hoping for " let there be light"

Because it needs to be invisible to the user to avoid unnecessary complaints. It's a strategy to increase engine load and therefore DPF temps.

 

Vehicle manufacturers don't want potential owners to know how inconvenient owning a modernish diesel is by adding an annoying warning light highlighting the regens.

 

When veh does regen the triangle with exclamation comes up on dash.

Morning all

Well i can confirm it works a treat,

driving to work this morning the light came on, it stayed on for a while my rear screen cleared and all seemed fine. (Not sure how long it was on for as did not time it)

I had to stop for traffic and traffic lights it just stayed on all ok.

So all in all very happy with that little light.

As for the warning triangle sign, that did not illuminate on my 1.4 hdi 2011 207.

If you do this to your car it may not light up the very next day as mine did as a regeneration is done on the car every 300 plus miles, I was just lucky that was the next morning after fitting it.

I fitted it recently in my 508sw 1.6 hdi 2012 plate, and very happy with it .

 

Hope it works for you mate I'm in the process of fitting one. Had a little light on my vauxhall zafira tourer and worked brilliantly but wasn't sure about Peugeot

I fitted a regen indicator LED to the drivers door mirror on my 2018 Peugeot Expert but managed to
make it visible through a transparent part of the mirror, keeps it quite tidy.
I only used a white LED as I had some spare, it can be a bit bright at night though, Blue or green would
would have been better.
