Cruise control problem

I have a 308 1.6 Hdi automatic and I bought a cruise control stalk off that auction site last year.
Yesterday I finally got around to fitting it and today I activated it and the speed limiter using PP2000
It activated in the software fine, but after taking the car for a drive, neither the cruise control or speed limiter is working

I used this guide and both cruise and limiter activated and saved http://nwex.co.uk/downloads/peugeot/planet/3-Activation.pdf

I checked part numbers last year using (I think it was Sedre) and compared the part numbers for the brake switch and it was already the same
I presume it had to be for the auto box

Does anyone have any idea why it isnt working?

My first thought is a faulty stalk, but it seems wierd that both cruise and limiter isnt working

Any other ideas?

I fixed it
On the 308 the guide isnt quite accurate
after the cruise control is actived via PP2000 as per the instructions above I had to come out then do a "global test"
then the BSI showed
Went into customer configuration options and activated the cruise control there, saved the configuration and it worked perfectly

I went for a drive today and couldn't understand why when I activated cruise control the display said "cruise control impossible".

It took me quite a while and a lot of thinking to figure out that you have to set the speed BEFORE activating cruise control.
The 308 is the only car I've had access to where you had to do this, the other cars you just pressed activate and it set itself at the speed you activated it at.
Then you could use the + or - buttons to lower or raise the speed.
