Hi all, new to the site, never knew it existed till tonight.
Anyway I have got a very frustrating problem which I cannot solve.
406 Coupe D9 V6
Has sat on a farm for the last 9 months until I bought it last week. Drove home fine but yesterday I got a P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire
Cut a long story short, I have changed -
Coil several times
Plugs
CTS
But the problem will not go.
This is the symptom -
1 Start car fine from cold
2. Idle fine
3. Drive
4. Car reaches normal temp
5. Fault appears with "Anti Pollution Fault" on display screen
6. Car goes into limp mode
7. Switch car off
8. scan
9. Cylinder 3 misfire fault
10. Ignition misfire fault
11. Wait 10 minutes
12. Start car
13. Car runs fine
14. Drive
15. 5 minutes later, error occurs again
This seems to be a heat issue. When the car is cool, it's OK, when hot, it goes wrong.
I have had it on PP2000 and cannot find any other errors
Tomorrow I am changing the injector and crank sensor as these have also been suggested.
Any other suggestions ?
