Alright guys

I own a Peugeot 206, 2001 model and since yesterday the digital clock is working but it is really faint to see it in daylight... Don't know what's happened...

Has anyone pressed the left-hand button poking out of the speedo? That controls the overall brightness, unless you mean it's just the clock area in which case I'll shut up :thumb:

Its just the clock is dim.. I do have a one switch on the left hand side of the steering wheel column which is for the indicators and headlights, etc.. Then I have two on the right side, one is for the wipers, and I believe the other one is to control the radio part... But I have never used that one because I have replaced the radio with a brand new one..

That's what I thought. A quick look on ebay showed displays with either 3 or 4 bulbs. If some or all bulbs have blown then you may still see the display faintly but you need the backlight from the bulbs to see it properly in daylight.

I've never taken one out of a 206 but on the 307 they are just clipped in. A good tug pulls it out. Onece it's out you can remove the bulbs to see if they are ok and if blown take one as a sample to your local spares shop.

I'm guessing that you've seen the display working before. If not then the previous owner may have disconnected it to hide an error message. I did a diagnostic on a car trying to see why the trip computer and temperature display wasn't working. Turned out the previous owner cut the data wires to the display to hide the fault messages when he sold the car on.
