Hi there.
I have a rattle I'm certain is the top strut mount on the front passenger (left) side.
(a) How do I get in to check it? Do I need to remove the cover under the windscreen wipers to get access? Is that simple?
(b) Are there any instructions to do the job of replacing it? (I had a look in an online 2018.1 Haynes Pro manual a friend had and I don't see a procedure set out there).
(c) Any tips, links or personal experiences appreciated!
Thank you.

Anyone any ideas what is going on here?

Strut top cap is loose, sitting about 8mm higher.

Other side is about 3mm higher.

Notice the amount of thread showing above the nut. - So is it a case of these nuts having unscrewed themselves?

I didn't try to tighten them as I was missing the 7mm allen I needed. 🙈

But I'll get back to it.

Any tips appreciated!

There seemed to be evidence of blue loctite on the threads. But do these nuts not need to be torqued to a specified force (which loctite can interfere with).

I also wonder are the threads stripped. I suppose I will remove them before I re-tighten them to check.

Is this a common scenario on these cars?

Thanks.
