Hello all, I see in the accessories brochure that you can get a boot liner and boot tray but as far as I can tell you need to registered on the website to see the prices. I was just wondering if anyone had either of these and what the prices are here in the UK.

Thanks in advance,
Kwozzii

I'm looking into boot liners and I've three options. I wondered if anyone had any of these and can offer any feedback?

Product Code: 1616436780

Product Code: 1616872280

Product Code: 1616872180

I do need to access the rear seats now and again, so ideally it needs to offer the required protection (I have a dog and camping gear, going to tip, etc) but also be flexible enough to store when removed.

I picked up my liner yesterday and it's pretty disappointing.

It doesn't go all the way back. The seats are pushed as far rearward as they will go.

However I bet it aligns with the actual end of the trunk level underneath , had you not deployed the flaps at the back of the seats . I assume they did not want to block this , I find it a veery useful crack, I store umbrellas and other items of this shape .

How do you manage the 3rd row seats with that ?
Unless you don’t use them at all

The liner is not supposed to go all the way towards the second row. It covers the boot area, and not the empty space between the seats and the boot.

I doubt you will find any liner, except if you build it yourself, which covers this area.

I have the same liner, made from the foamy material, I find it to be great. I have removed the third row of seats because I don't use them that often, and have stored things like first aid kit, spare screen wash liquid, spare oil etc... under the boot liner.

I know everyone's needs are different, but I don't consider myself as having unusual needs. I think many people will have the flaps on the rear of the second row of seats down and only up when the third row being used; otherwise items put in the boot will fall into the gap. With this in mind, I would think the liner going all the way back will meet most people's needs.

Kwozzii, I bought this bootliner from the site below. Entirely happy with it and £22 seemed like good value. I rarely use the 6th and 7th seats, so it works a treat for us! Hope this helps.
Dear Dunhillion,

Is this boot liner tray rigid?
Or Can it be folded ( so that I can fold it and keep behind the third row of seats, when the third row seats are used)?

In general do you find it protective?

Thank you

To my knowledge it's not foldable. I thought of buying this, but decided not to because if I needed to use the extra seats unexpectedly, where would I put this big tray?! Instead I bought a regular floor mat with rubber base. So if you're not looking for a perfect fit at every corner, this will do just fine.

Since I last posted my circumstances have changed - I now have a dog! :D🐶:D

So I've decided to go with something a little more, comprehensive, as far as boot protection goes. I've just ordered a 'Hatchbag'; a custom, made to measure, boot liner and I'll be sure to post a few pictures when it arrives. (y)

original idea with those "flaps" on rear seats - only to use those when 2nd row is folded ))
if you have 2nd row up and flaps down - and you put a rubber liner on top - you can end up easily putting something heavy on that area and will have "flaps" damaged...
and again - as you can pull 2nd row front and back and also change angle of back of seats - how you imagine liner to adjust itself to all those different lengths? ))
i assume those are the reasons why original liner do not cover that area there...

They do what the manufacturers of custom fit liners do - produce a boot mat based on a 'default position' of the rear seats, ie seats in upright position, fully back. You can't accommodate all positions, so go with what the most likely seat position will be. It's then up to the user to decide how to work with the alternatives.

Having the second row laying flat with flaps down, is no different to fully upright with flaps down in my opinion. The area we're talking about is so small compared to what can be reasonably be expected to be placed in/on it to not really be a factor in my opinion. Not enough to create a hoot liner that doesn't actually fully line the boot, anyway.

Agree to differ. 😀
