Hi All
This may have already been covered but i can't find it on the forum.
just ordered a new e2008 and I am getting mixed answers to this question.
from what I understand the earlier e2008s did not show the % battery left display, just the GOM range left indicator BUT the latest spec ones can also display the % left indicator too.
anyone have a new spec e2008 ( i guess with the toggle drive changer) that can report if it does or doesn't display % left while driving?
Many Thanks
Paul

I dont have the latest model, so I can't fully answer your question, but you are able to see your current % SOC through the Peugeot App, other than that you are correct in the fact that the % SOC is only displayed when you are charging on the earlier models.
Plus my car had a software update in June, and this useful feature still wasn't added, not sure about more recent models though.

We have a 2022 e2008 GT Premium (factory build 30th May 2022) fitted with the new 'toggle' gear selector.

When you push the end of the stalk, it cycles through the two trip computers and a third screen, which includes the battery percentage remaining (see photo).

Any questions, please just ask away!

Hi,
Many thanks for that picture, it shows without doubt that the SOC is viewable, can you set that screen as the default or do you need to select that display each time you restart? i see that the 'fuel' gauge shows about the same percentage (just over a third of a tank so to speak!)
I also see that if you have 67 miles range left with 36% charge that works out to just over 180miles range from 100%, is that what you are finding. sounds about right as a 45KW battery (usable) with give that with just about 4.2m/KW usage . what sort of driving are you doing (Town, motorway, mixed) and what mode are you in to get this range?
Thanks very much for taking the time to help me out with this.
still got to wait till March for our GT spec to arrive.

When you tap on the end of the right hand stalk, you scroll through the Battery percentage and the two trips. After a short while, these fade away, back to whatever you have set for your instrument panel display. We have Navigation showing all the time, so just tap the stalk to see the battery percentage view, when we want to check the level.

However, you can absolutely have it on the main screen all the time whilst driving (as per the above photo). You simply customise the driving view 'Personal 2', which allows you to scroll on the steering wheel, set 'Personal 2' and leave the instrument panel in this view. This then shows the battery level on the instrument panel in front of you all the time.

We're not keen on that view as its a bit boring, plus I try not to panic about looking at range/percentages, otherwise its becomes an obsession. Preferring instead, the other views like Navigation or dials - so I just use the temporary stalk view method instead

To answer your other points.

Fully charged when we first got the car with 3 miles on it, we were showing 100% and 214 miles of range. Now the weather has got colder, a full charge as the photo above shows tends to be 191-196 miles. Sometimes the range will drop more than a few miles at a time, but generally is quite accurate.

The car is always in Normal mode - never bother with Eco and only use Sport when after a bit of a spirited response to overtake for example, and then pop it back to Normal afterwards.

As its only me that drives the car all the time, I'm always quite light footed on the accelerator and engage B mode every time I start up.

My drive to work every day (Mon-Fri) is 32 miles there and back on a mix of country roads and 30mph limits (never faster than around 55mph), so the range or guessometer you're seeing is based on my previous journeys, as that's where it gets it range figures from.

As another very specific example, recently we had our longest trip of 132 miles on country, A roads and a Motorway. Charged the car up to 100% fully the night before and pre-conditioned it whilst still plugged in, before we left. We stuck to a very relaxing 56mph all the way (on the 70mph A and Motorway). From a full charge, driving the 132 miles there and back and fully charging again when we got home, the figures achieved were:

Leaving home with fully charged battery : 196 miles range - 100% battery level
After travelling the 66 miles each way got home with : 67 miles showing left on the trip/range - 36% battery level - 4.4miles per kWh (average 37mph)
Charged the car to full again : Cost for the 132 miles trip worked out at £12.09 so around 9p per mile. This is based on our out of contract tariff of 0.35p per kWh

Thanks again for all the info, its good to see someone getting a decent range from the e2008, i have seen many people claim to be getting just over the 100miles/charge range which was worrying, we only travel short runs really, 10 miles max for 99% of our trips, maybe 100-120 miles a week so it looks like one charge a week will be fine for us with a little left in the tank so to speak.
thanks for your time in replying.
best wishes

I think you don’t get it? Using the brake pedal regenerates the battery, unless you step on it, check the charging gauge. B-mode is certainly not the mode you should be using if you want the maximum range, this is a very common misconception. It is mostly for easier driving experience and the points I mentioned above. Have fun with your Lion! :)
