Automatic parking brake

I’ve just taken delivery of a 3008 and can’t find how to automatically engage the parking brake.

On previous cars I’ve had there is the option for the parking brake to kick in once you’ve been stationary for a couple of seconds. Helpful when stopping at lights or in traffic so you don’t need to keep foot on the pedal or manually press parking button.

Is it possible on the 3008?

If your car has adaptive cruise control, you can use it's auto hold feature. Simply engage cruise when stationary, then disable it or leave it on; up to you.

Keep it in mind that this will leave the torque converter engaged but in low rpm so it's not too much in terms of vibrations but will somewhat increase fuel consumption.

The way particularly VAG group cars do it is by engaging the electronic handbrake in a specific way. They used to do it in the gearbox but that caused a lot of DSG deaths :) And as an owner of the most recent Passat and Golf previousluy, they never, not once pulled as smoothly from a stop with auto hold on. Anyway, this type of system isn't available in any Peugeot, not that it's necessary IMHO. I mean, you've already kept your foot on the brake until you stopped, might as well keep it there :-D
