Hi I have a 2010 1.6hdi egc fap 5008 sport automatic with 91k on the clock, few months back the engine warning light came on with anti pollution system faulty message, nothing new I've had this message before however this time despite going out for 20mins plus drives in sport mode so I would remain in 5th on motorway, the light didn't clear, it did clear roughly 15mins after I refilled last month, I'm no longer using regular diesel now using costco premium diesel which I found to be better for consumption and response as well as making the engine sound quieter if it's relevant... I filled up again last week and last night coming back on motorway (mostly 50mph due roadworks) the light came on again, the same message again, engine in limp mode, sounds throatier and it struggles to shift into 2nd gear, have to use the paddle to shift into 2nd then the car has no problem shifting up into 3rd, 4th etc... I do not have a plug in diagnostic but because this happens at least once a year and I've now had the car for 5 years, should I be looking into getting the dpf cleaned, daily drive is roughly 5 miles to work daily and some motorway on weekends but like I said I live in Southampton and traffic is usually limited to 40mph on weekends or 50mph speed limit due to ongoing road works which seem to be taking forever. Many thanks in advance
