Hi,

I heard that Peugeot 308 SW 2016 cars have Android Auto. I looked online on how to set this up for my new car I just bought: Peugeot 308 SW 2016 (16 Plate) PureActive.

Research shows that I have to use my USB cable (has both data transfer and charging capabilities), plug it in the car, to my android phone and wait for prompts. So far, nothing came up even though I have the latest Android Auto app installed in my phone. I also connected to the car via Bluetooth. I noticed in the online manual that I need one of the two buttons (please see below ) to load menus.

I have neither of the red circled buttons on my car. I'm assuming I simply don't have android auto in my car but I wanted to double confirm this.

Here is how my screen actually looks like:

If I don't have Android Auto, is there any other way to get one without the need to change this screen or install complicated adapters/modules without risking the touchscreen function from not working?

Kindly please let me know. Thanks.

You have a smeg system in your car. To get an android auto, you have to upgrade the system to NAC. NAC came from the end of 2017 in the Peugeot 308.
Hi there. Thank you for your message. Upon deeper research, I've found out that my car does not have Android Auto and that SMEG system cannot be replaced with NAC software due to various reasons.

The only way I can get Android Auto setup is if I buy a module/converter/adapter from AliExpress, take out the radio system of the car, the touchscreen and install physically. They cost around ÂŁ140-ÂŁ180 to buy for this model.

Hi, I had a lot of trouble with connection, it was all down to the lead, brought one from Tesco's now perfect, don't buy one more than a meter long,
Hi,

Thank you for your message. This would only work if the car already has an android auto system inside. In my case, it doesn't. Please see my above reply message for details.
