Hi there can anyone help me with correct part number.

I have Peugeot 508sw 2012 2.0 diesel I need to change n/s driveshaft but at the same time the o/s isn’t looking the best so will probably change both.

im after the whole thing as a complete shaft not just the cv joint

I have tried to order one a few times and although it seems to match my car when giving my reg they say it isn’t compatible. Can anyone help me with the correct part number for my car.
reg. R121 EST
VIN Vf38erhh8cl047083

What is wrong with the drive shaft. CV joints are replaceable on most of them. I just changed outer CV on my sons 2.0l 163 6 speed and a borg and beck joint was less than £30

Lots of clunking and clicking while pulling off especially with a bit of steering at the same time. Gator is also split…. Also slight vibration over about 65 so wanted to replace cv and other end so thought would be easier just to get the whole thing.

Would I run into the same problem finding the part with just replacing the joint or are they interchangeable? Are they easy to change without any special tools ?

Transmission code that comes up on service box is bvm6 seems to be no options for driveshafts for this gearbox.

Sounds like outer CV joint you will find most motor factors will have it listed. Normally only a few options based on engine size.

Technically yes. I found it easier (on nearside) to drain gearbox and remove drive shaft to make it easier to work on and it's very easy to inadvertently pull the shaft out anyway which then cause the gearbox oil to leak anyway, and as there is no level plug you need to drain the oil anyway to make sure the right amount is in the box.

One tip is to hold the snap ring in place with a jubilee clip when fitting new joint as it can be difficult to get the clip compressed when fitting new joint
