Greetings!

So, the last update that my mid 2023 408 got is NHW.1.20.97.5 in the end of December - and for the 3 months zero updates AT ALL. ChatGPT - works.
But the 408 from the late 2023 came with... NHW.1.26.80.7

What difference does it make?

New "end of trip" screen when you turn off your car:

Before it was:

i-Toggles extended the types of shortcut that you can place, for example massage shortcut can be set for the left or the right seat right there:

Before only like this:

And the last, but not least, 408 now got greetings lights like in 308, with claw-to-claw welcome sequence in rear lights, it looks like a software update...
But as you can see, actual firmware update for IVI R1 is 1.27.50.9

Thoughts? What FW do you have and how old is your 408?

I’ve just installed a small ‘infotainment performance update’ on my car that must’ve downloaded whilst my wife drove it to/from work. Not sure what changes it’s made or what the version number is but I’ll try and check it tomorrow when the weather‘s better!

Imagine it’s just a simple bug fix update rather than any massive improvement, but at least it shows the OTA process does at least work.

I've an August 2023 Allure and am still on NHW.1.20.80.19 - car is connected to my WiFi but I haven't had any updates in some time. Have just signed up to the integrated ChatGPT so maybe that will trigger something once the activation completes. I'm also on the latest version of the MyPeugeot app.

I had an OTA update on 21/2/25 don’t know what it changed but it did not change the system version number which still says there are no pending updates. The version number is NHW. 1.20.80.19. The car is a First Edition GT hybrid 225 first registered Feb 2023.

This OTA way of updating is fine if you can get your car close enough to get good download speed from a router. There will be people who can not have close proximity and will be unable to update. Peugeot have not thought this through, there should be second option to install updates as in the previous 3008 that I owned.

No problemo, I guess this whole OTA is in stage called "test on production" where the system was running fine for car premiere, now they are trying to get it working properly. At least for me it looks that way.
As for maps: mine have still old marks (from 2022) that renders some roads closed, therefore nav is trying to avid them. The traffic and rest of the services are working fine. If they won't update it by next year I'm not paying for nav service anymore cause it is useless.

Please could I ask if someone could check the app. In the Peugeot 408 section and Software Updates (Find out more) Scroll down to Sofware update history and see if an information appears.

Mine says
DATA NOT AVAILABLE
Can't retrieve the software
update history. Your
vehicle doesn't support
this feature.

Can't find anything with a Google search s o would be interested to know if anyone does get any data.

Thanks.

This update method is very bad.
I found that I had a total of 19.3Gb of map updates in Europe, going into the sub menu I deleted the countries that are of no use to me, returned to the previous menu and still shows 19.3Gb.
To try and make this update as quickly as possible I connected up a wireless access point hard wired with Cat 6 cable. Download speed using my phone connected to access point 330Mb. Positioned access point next to the car.
Left the care running for 30 minutes and now have 18.4GB left to download. So would need around 9 hours of leaving the car running to do the updates.

Hi
I live in Poland, my car (408 GT Hybrid 180) was ordered at the end of August 2023 and picked up on December 2023. It had one update right after I connected it to WiFi.
Since then it is stuck on NHW.1.20.93.7. The welcome lights are in "morse code" mode. I'm also frustrated that tomtom maps are up to date but many of the road in my vicinity are closed (red) even they are not. New road works are added but there seems to be a problem with removing the old ones. Tried to remove and download maps couple of times but didn't work.
Is it something that local dealer can help with or is it totally up to the manufacturer and all I can do is to wait for the update via WiFi?

I asked my local dealer a few weeks ago and he checked the system and found everything to be working as it should, I also filled a form out on the Peugeot website to ask for assistance as I have not had an update since I bought the car in July 2023. I received a telephone call within a couple of days, I provided all the details regarding the car and the system version it was on. Next day I had another call to say the System version my car was on was the latest.

it would be useful to find information on what Sys Version/model of car/country of residence and see if there is anything common.

For instance I have a Allure Plus model 1.2 petrol purchased in July 2023 the System Version is 1.120.80.19. I live in Greece with English language selected on the car.
In the webservices menu I have it set to Greece, not sure what that does.
I have the MyPeugeot app in English

During the last couple of weeks my 408 repeatably indicates that an update is ready to install. Before I accept the installation I make sure that I'm connected to the home WIFI. However the installation only ever gets to 5% before it fails.
I think I've only had 1 firmware update in the last year, so not sure what to do now.
current Firmware NHW.1.20.93.7

Agreed the system employed on the 3008 was great download the system and map updates and install yourself. This present TomTom system doesn't show what version it is and I have not seen anyone so far who has had an update to that in the post I have placed. Anyone think it would be a good idea to have a list of the models of cars and the system version they have installed.

The update took about an hour and the information I was told that is was to do with the Central Processing Unit. They also checked the rear light clusters with a pressure washer to see if any moisture was entered, they told me before if they misted up they would be replaced (no problem) but I will keep a look out. The car otherwise checked out all ok and they didn't have any info about software updates for the system still on 1.120.80.19.
Does anyone get a notification when the Navigation system is updated?

I have had my car since July 2023 firmware version is NHW.1.20.80.19 this is the version it came with and so far never had an update. I had a call from the dealer this morning and have an appointment for Monday 1st April to take the car in for a recall for a software update, the reception chap thought it was to do with the engine management. I will find out more details when I can speak to him face to face.
